The US military base in Syria has been attacked again!
On Aug. 15, the U.S. military said multiple drones had hit a U.S. military base in eastern Syria on Monday. The attack took place near the al-Tanf base near the borders of Syria, Jordan and Iraq.
The al-Tanf base, where U.S. coalition forces are stationed, is located on a road that is an important link for Iranian-backed forces stretching from Tehran to Lebanon.
In an interview with Arab media, Syrian Observatory Director Rami Abdul Rahman explained that the drone that carried out the attack was fired from Iranian militia positions towards Al-Tanf, noting that the international coalition was very aware of the drone's location.
The commander of the coalition joint task force, Major General John Brennan, condemned the "hostile act".
It is worth noting that the attack on the US military base occurred a few hours before Israel launched an air strike on western and central Syria, killing three soldiers and injuring three others.
