Growing up in the countryside as a child, I didn't have so many toys at hand. One summer, my father still had to go to work every day, and when he saw that I was bored, he sent me to a rural relative's house.

There is a lot of knowledge in the northern countryside, that is, the adult insects of cicadas.

Cicadas live in temperate to tropical regions of the world (about 2,000 species of cicadas have been recorded). Some species distributed in desert areas, when the body temperature is overheated, will discharge excess water from the back plate (tergum), which in turn achieves the effect of cooling and heat dissipation.

The larvae of cicadas live in the soil and have a pair of strong excavating forefoots. The use of a sucking mouthpiece to suck the sap of the plant roots weakens the tree, causes the branches to die, and affects the growth of the tree. Usually in the soil for a few years or even more than ten years, such as 3 years, 5 years, there will be 17 years, these numbers have one thing in common, are prime numbers. This is because the factor of prime numbers is very small, and when drilling out of the soil, it can prevent it from drilling out with other cicadas, competing for territory and food. When it is about to be feathered, drill the surface at dusk and at night, climb to the tree, and then grasp the bark and molt and feather. When a black crack appears on the back of the cicada pupae, the process of molting begins, the head comes out first, followed by the green body and folded wings, staying for a moment, making the wings hard and darker, and then begins to take off. The whole process takes about an hour.

At the end of June, the larvae begin to feather into adults, and the newly feathered cicadas are green and have a long lifespan of about 60 to 70 days. In late July, female adults begin to lay eggs, and in early and mid-August, the spawning period is peak, and the eggs are mostly laid on branches 4 to 5 mm thick. In the summer, the trees are loud and loud, and the sap of the tree is sucked with a needle piercer, and the larvae inhabit the soil, sucking the sap of the roots.

The ancients also liked to appreciate cicadas, and Yu Shinan [Tang Dynasty] once wrote a poem for cicadas: drinking clear dew and flowing out of the trees.

To be loud and far away is not to take advantage of the autumn wind.

But for the rural children at that time, they preferred fried zhi, crispy and delicious, and could not be squared! Sticking to it is of course the first step.

First of all, reconcile the gluten, the wind blows very sticky hands. Then I found a long bamboo pole with a thin branch tied to the head of the bamboo pole. Finally, on the thin branches, wrapped in a little gluten, you can use it to stick. Sticky to the know to take it off and put it in a large convenience bag. If the gluten is dry or runs out, add a little new one.

The village is on the banks of the Wulong River, full of willow trees that are not too tall, and there is a lot of knowledge on the trees, which is a good place to stick to the knowledge. After a busy day, sticking a bag is still no problem. When the sun went down, he happily returned home with his booty.
