Hearsay is always hearsay.
The story made up by hand will always add oil and vinegar, and the imaginary plot statement will be different because of the different editors, and the direction and ending of the story will be different.
The storyteller and the history writer can be one person, or it can be many people. A historical event is real. Stories can be fictional.
Of course, the stories that are relished are fascinating to read. Studying history is sometimes tedious.
It's just that human beings themselves are too thick a history.
People know the final destination of life, but they don't know where the earliest humans came from. It is said that monkeys orangutans are close relatives of humans, but they have not yet seen monkeys become human.
The history is too long. And people are too close to each other. Most wars occur around people who live too close, live far away, and the equipment transportation needed for war will not keep up.
