The 2022 World Environment Day Ancestor Digital Sustainable Development Summit will be held online on June 5 at 14:00 Beijing time, and will invite guests from industry, digital technology, environmental architecture, fashion and other fields to discuss relevant topics, promote digital ecological interconnection, and promote sustainable development.

Summit Introduction

To celebrate the 48th anniversary of World Environment Day 6.5, the Ancestral Carbon Neutrality Research Center will convene experts from academia, industry and young leaders to actively respond to the theme of this year's Environment Day "Only One Earth" and discuss the status and future of digital sustainable development from environmental, economic and social perspectives. Guests from across industries will share their experiences and insights on how individuals and communities can create more socially meaningful change, practice greener, cleaner lifestyles, and achieve the long-term goal of "carbon neutrality and carbon peaking" towards a greener common future.

On 5 June 2022, World Environment Day, the Ancestors Digital Sustainability Summit will invite global audiences to watch and participate in the interaction between the live broadcasts through WeChat live broadcasts and YouTube live broadcasts, thereby raising awareness of the concept of digital sustainable development among the wider community.

Summit theme

The theme of this year's Ancestor Digital Sustainable Development Summit is "Interconnecting Digitalized Ecosystems", which aims to emphasize that in the transformation process of achieving low-carbon sustainable development, all stakeholders need to cooperate to build an industrial ecology, strengthen information exchange and sharing through digital means and methods, and jointly help all participants to move forward steadily.

The summit will set up five sub-forums such as industrial carbon saving, carbon neutral cutting-edge digital technology, environmental architecture, fashion industry, and youth power, and work with industry pioneers, young pioneers and scholars from all walks of life around the world to share insights, discuss new knowledge, and draw confidence and strength from each other on the road of creating a green future.

Youth Power Sub-Forum

As a bridge, youth connect the Internet era and the traditional industrial era, and through continuous efforts to help the transformation of society from traditional manufacturing to digital sustainable development.

The Ancestors World Environment Day Youth Forum will invite young people from different backgrounds and fields to talk about their understanding of digital sustainable development and discuss how young people can paint their own "environmental blueprint" in the context of the new era.

Kami Krista is the co-founder and CEO of Techstars-backed startup Elio. Elio is committed to providing decision support for climate solutions in academia through the Climate Data Research Platform, helping companies develop localized decarbonization plans using the best available technology. Kami, a member of the UN Youth Climate Advisory Committee and a youth representative in Austria at the UN PreCOP in Milan and COP26 in Glasgow, built a volunteer translation team of 200 people for ClimateScience and, in a short time on the platform, researched a new HIV treatment at MIT, Harvard University, the Broad Institute and the University of Meduni in Vienna. In addition, Kami has advised on multibillion-dollar biopharmaceutical M&A deals, informal advice to governors on climate issues, and consultancy for venture capital firm Aera VC.

Founder of Avritah and a member of the Intersectional Environmentalist Council. After learning about the damage to human health caused by plastic pollution at the age of 10, she decided to take action against an unfair system that harms the common interests of the planet and humanity. After graduating from Harvard, she founded Avritah, an organization that addresses environmental controversies and health equity, to help people severely affected by environmental and public health crises speak out throughout her life, and to activate resources and opportunities under the leadership of "black, Native Americans, and People of Colored Peoples of Color" and their allies. She is passionate about health policy and the reinvention of health systems and is relevant to her work in the environmental sector. Health Policy and Medicine is also at the heart of Anushka's academic interests and career ambitions, and she hopes to reflect her ideas in the intersection of environmental protection in her research, advocacy and clinical practice.
