I love children's drawings
I think poetry, calligraphy and painting should be a natural expression of true feelings. It should not have a predetermined route, but it flows precisely along the necessary route. But in fact, this should not be a dead thing, and some gentlemen say that it needs to be fast, and fast to make a melody. I've seen Mr. Guo Weirui paint, and he clicks flowers and bones very quickly, and he can't come out without that speed and liveliness. I recognize Mr. Lee, and this recognition often enlightens me, but there are also constraints in it; People who are not trained in the academy are more free, but they are also prone to detours. To be honest, it's really hard to get out of the academy, first you have to be a rebel, and I've been accused of it. I've done some deformations, but they're just exaggerations, not deformations, and it has to do with the fact that I've been influenced by Kolehuich. I said that you have to deny the past, otherwise you won't be able to get out. Some people think that I say this to deny the tradition, think that I am a fool, and say that you Zhou Sicong has such a good foundation and still deny it, this guy is "from man to ape", a big regression, he has a great ability to beautify but he paints people so ugly, I don't know what it means. It was the early eighties when I said that. At that time, it was really not fashionable to do this, it was to withstand pressure.

I was working on the Miner Diagram. Originally, I felt this when I drew the picture of the Prime Minister, and I wanted to draw it as a moaning or shouting, not a song anyway. Can't you use singing and chanting, or even a little hoarse? I felt that the method I used to use before was not working, and I was weak and powerless, but I didn't dare to change when I painted the prime minister, for fear that people would say that it would be a scandalous leader. Later, when I painted the miners, my emotions had reached the point where I couldn't stand it, and I couldn't use the method of "Uprooted" that I had painted, I had to change, distort people, and if I didn't distort, I couldn't express my depressed feelings.

A lot of people say that I failed, and I said that even if I failed, I couldn't draw the same way as before. At that time, it was also very strange, most of the people who supported me were painting oil paintings, but two years after the exhibition of the works, people got used to it, and now I really don't think it's anything. So my feeling is that sometimes you can't blame the academy, there are people who have been in the academy for many years, have good skills, but are not emotional about anything, and they are not suitable for painting. A love for nature like Mr. Li's is the temperament of an artist, and this kind of thing cannot be learned by the Academy of Fine Arts.
