On May 11, the reporter walked into the National Germplasm Large-leaf Tea Resource Garden (Menghai) located in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, where more than 3,400 species of large-leaf tea germplasm live plants were preserved.

The National Germplasm Large-leaf Tea Tree Resource Garden (Menghai) of the Tea Research Institute of Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences was founded in 1983 and was promoted to a national resource garden in 2012.

As of 2021, this resource garden has preserved more than 3480 tea tree resources, including 25 species and 3 varieties, which is the world's tea plant gene bank with the largest number and most complete types of preserved large-leaf tea resources.
