Entering May, unlike before, those new car-making forces that were once particularly active did not announce the delivery volume, but the co-creation automobile, which has been silent, took the lead in announcing the sales results. Specifically, the order volume of Hechuang Automobile in April was 3084 units, an increase of 6500% year-on-year! Month-on-month increase of 2.3% month-on-month. It is worth noting that Hechuang Automobile announced the order volume, not the delivery volume. As for the reason, I think everyone knows it, and it must be that the delivery volume cannot be taken out!
Hechuang Automobile was founded in April 2018 and was jointly funded by GAC and NIO. At the beginning of 2021, it completed the capital increase and share expansion, introduced a cross-industry strategic partner - Pearl River Investment Management Group, and changed its name to Hechuang Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. in April. I still remember that when Hechuang Automobile was released in 2019, Li Bin, founder of Weilai Automobile, and Zeng Qinghong, chairman of GUANGZHOU AUTOMOBILE Group, were full of confidence in the future of Hechuang and believed that its birth could further promote the deep integration of the two major industries of automobile and Internet, and create a more intelligent travel experience for users.
Looking back at sales in 2021, Hechuang only sold 2907 cars, which is less than the amount of a car for a month by the new car-making forces such as Weilai, Ideal, and Xiaopeng. Even compared with the late-comers Lantu FREE and Extreme Kr 001, they can only look back, and the gap is huge.
At this moment, perhaps some friends will wonder, just look at Weilai and GAC, the achievements in the field of new energy are obvious to all, to have brands, to sell sales, to have technology and technology, why after the combination of strong and powerful, but not?
In fact, look at the two products currently on sale, Hechuang Z03 and Hechuang 007, you may be able to understand. Whether it is GAC or Weilai, it seems that they are all pretending to be confused, and obviously they have not shown the ability to be the master. To put it bluntly, it is that each other is not sincere, and each other puts the core products and technologies on their own products.
In short, the cooperation between the two powerful car companies is more like a temporary gang to live a life, rather than a team with a community of destiny. Therefore, all the energy of GAC must be Eian, and the resources of Weilai are still concentrated on the Weilai brand models.
In January 2021, Liao Bing resigned as CEO of GAC Weilai. Subsequently, in February, GAC Weilai announced the completion of a capital increase and share expansion, a total increase of 2.405 billion yuan, of which Pearl River Investment Management Group Co., Ltd., as the largest shareholder, increased its capital by about 1.923 billion yuan. Then in May, GAC Weilai officially changed its name to Hechuang Automobile. It is worth mentioning that GAC Group and WEILAI Automobile have significantly reduced their shares, and both of them only hold about 4.45% of the shares after the reduction. At this point, it is also announced that the era of GAC Weilai has come to an end.
At this moment, we look back at the first BOM list of the GAC Weilai era industry, "battery fire, full loss of the whole vehicle", China's first car company to accept bitcoin car purchases, and other so-called various marketing actions, is it not like a joke? In the author's opinion, marketing without sales increase is "hooliganism".
Looking at the two products on sale, it seems that there is no sincerity, and in terms of product strength, it is obviously impossible to compete with other products of the same level. As the saying goes, product force is the first productive force, without product power, relying solely on co-creation of this brand, I am afraid that there is no hope after all.
Let's start with Co-Creation 007. In a certain sense, as the first product of Hechuang, it is most likely born from Weilai Automobile. For example, the intelligent design of the NIO-like NOMI on the center console has changed from Niolai's "hi nomi" to "hi small can". In addition, the intelligent cockpit is also full of Weilai temperament. In this regard, we can understand, after all, Weilai is a shareholder. But it is said that blue is better than blue, and from Co-creation 007, we can't see any better than blue. As a result, it seems to be doomed to the fate of this car, according to the data of the Association of Automobile Associations, Hechuang 007 only sold 3 vehicles in March this year. The few sales volumes have also proved that there is no market for Hechuang 007.
Let's talk about another car, co-creation 003. As the current sales director of Hechuang Automobile, in March 2022, he sold 1189 Z03 units, an increase of 720% month-on-month. Among them, in the last 12 months, the sales volume of Hechuang Z03 reached the highest in December 2021, with sales of 1572 units. In fact, in terms of the highest 1572 vehicles, compared with Nezha U, Zero Run C11 and AION Y, it is not an order of magnitude. In particular, GAC Group's own AION Y can directly crush the Z03.
From another point of view, Hechuang Z03 is likely to be born from AION Y, for example, the chassis used in the two models is exactly the same, the same is the magazine battery, but the Z03 is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, the workmanship is more meticulous, so its full price is slightly higher than AION Y. However, in the face of more rational consumers, the so-called advantages of the Z03 are gone. For users, it is better to choose AION Y, which is endorsed by GAC Group, than to pay IQ tax for the higher price of Hechuang Z03.
At the "HYCAN DAY" held by Hechuang Automobile last year, Hechuang Automobile released three messages. First of all, the resources of the pearl river investment management industry ecological chain will be integrated into the car to build a life scene, that is, to create a fully aggregated life scene of smart travel, smart office, smart health, smart entertainment, and smart shopping. Secondly, upgrade the current model Hechuang Z03, using a 100-degree battery pack, with a range of 800 kilometers under the NEDC standard, and will be launched in the second half of 2022. In addition, Bosch automatic valet parking technology will be installed on the Z03, and next year, it will realize L4 level automatic driving, and complete a new intelligent parking landing scenario of automatic parking, automatic charging, and automatic maintenance.
Sounds beautiful, but when you think about it, er. The so-called industry-wide ecological chain is not a matter of time when the intelligent technology of various brand models is strong today. Whether it is Huawei's Hongmeng cockpit, or the intelligent ecology of Tencent and Baidu, it can be realized. As for the upgraded NEDC 800 km endurance standard of hechuang Z03, there seems to be nothing to come up with. After all, the 2022 test standard is a more stringent and accurate CLTC, not a NEDC, and the 1,000 km-long WEINA ET7 will also begin to be delivered. As for the so-called L4 level automatic driving and other technologies, just look at the friendly business, it is also not worth mentioning.
