On a global scale, Apple and Microsoft are the vanes of the global technology market. Apple's earnings report can reflect the purchasing power of global consumers, and Microsoft is the representative company of global enterprise service services, and their operating indicators have an important impact on the current sluggish technology market, and are expected to boost market confidence. Microsoft's enterprise services cover IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, cloud services performed well, in the third quarter of fiscal 2022 (as of March 31, 2022), Microsoft's cloud business sales reached $23.4 billion, an increase of 32% year-on-year, which in turn drove overall revenue and net profit to exceed expectations.

iPhone Hot! Apple's quarterly revenue of 640 billion yuan, what about Huawei after the mobile phone is blocked?

Apple is the global consumer technology market bellwether, with hardware product revenue of $77,457 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2022 (ending March 26, 2022). Among them, iPhone revenue in the quarter was $50.57 billion, an increase of 5.5% year-on-year, accounting for 52% of total revenue. Global consumer demand for iPhones remained strong, driving overall revenue to a record high in the quarter, with revenue reaching US$97.3 billion (RMB643 billion), up 9% year-on-year, and net profit of US$25 billion, up 6% year-on-year.

Although the growth rate has slowed down, in the face of the relevant supply chain restrictions caused by the epidemic, its operating data are higher than expected, especially the iPhone has shown strong competitiveness. Especially after the lack of Huawei, a heavyweight opponent, Apple's revenue from Greater China has continued to reach new heights. In the second quarter of fiscal 2022, revenue from the Greater China region was US$18.343 billion (about 121.2 billion yuan), which is comparable to Huawei's overall revenue.

In the first quarter of 2022, Huawei's revenue was RMB131 billion, down 14% year-on-year, and its net profit margin was 4.3% to RMB5.633 billion. It should be known that during Huawei's highlight period, Apple's revenue in Greater China in the second quarter of fiscal 2020 fell by 7.5% year-on-year to $9.46 billion. However, the encounter with Huawei's mobile phones has made Apple's revenue show a strong growth trend in Greater China. Greater China revenue for the first quarter of fiscal 2022 was US$25,783 million, up 21% year-over-year. In fiscal 2021, the revenue of the Greater China region was as high as $68.366 billion, an increase of 70% year-on-year, making it apple's most beautiful growth region in the world.

To a certain extent, Apple is the biggest beneficiary of Huawei's mobile phone blockage, and the iPhone dominates the global high-end smartphone market. In the earlier Canalys 2021 annual smartphone market analysis report, it was pointed out that Compared with Apple, Android manufacturers have a weak increase in high-end smartphone shipments, and the growth of global high-end smartphones is mainly driven by Apple. Combined with IDC's data, under the situation of year-on-year decline in global smartphone shipments, Apple still maintains a positive growth trend.

Global smartphone shipments in the first quarter of 2022 were 314.1 million units, down 8.9% year-on-year. Among the world's top five mobile phone manufacturers, only Apple maintained growth, and its shipments increased by 2.2% year-on-year, ranking second in the world. Among them, vivo, OPPO and xiaomi, as the three major domestic mobile phone manufacturers, have declined particularly significantly.

Of course, the global smartphone market is sluggish, the supply chain and logistics related to the epidemic, as well as the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and macroeconomic challenges. In the IDC report, Samsung and Apple are a little better than their competitors in the supply chain situation, and their market share is steadily improving, Samsung's market share in the first quarter of 2022 increased to 23.4%, continuing to rank first in the industry and the highest quarterly share since 2018.

It should be pointed out that not long ago, Lei Jun said that he officially benchmarked Apple and learned from Apple, saying that mobile phone sales have been the first in the world in three years. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has fallen sharply in the global smartphone market, in stark contrast to Lei Jun's ambitions, and its ability to make money is even more different. In 2021, Xiaomi's revenue was RMB328.3 billion, up 33.5% year-on-year, adjusted net profit was RMB22 billion, an increase of 69.5% year-on-year, and annual profit fell 5.1% year-on-year to RMB19.283 billion.

In fiscal 2021, Apple's total revenue was $365.8 billion (about 2.4 trillion yuan), up 33% year-on-year, and net profit was up 65% year-on-year to $94.7 billion (about 625.8 billion yuan). It is worth mentioning that in fiscal 2021, Apple's revenue from the iPhone was $191.973 billion (about 1.27 trillion yuan), an increase of $54.192 billion compared with fiscal year 2020, an increase of 39% year-on-year. Behind this shows the competitiveness of the iPhone in the global market, is the world's best-selling high-end smart phone, has long occupied the global high-end mobile phone market, and brought a steady stream of profits to Apple, the iPhone makes Apple earn a lot of money, the real sense of the day into the gold.

Finally, among the major mobile phone manufacturers, Huawei once overpowered Apple in the global mobile phone market, and now it is extremely difficult. It was a pity when mobile phones were restricted, which led to a sharp decline in revenue. The revenue scale in 2021 was 636.8 billion yuan, compared with 891.4 billion yuan in 2020, the revenue in 2021 decreased by 254.6 billion yuan, down 28.56% year-on-year. The downward trend continued in 2022. But without Huawei to participate in the competition, Apple's life is quite moist, continue to harvest the global high-end smartphone market dividends. While earning the industry's largest profit, it is also the world's most valuable listed company, with a current market value of $2.57 trillion.
