Jiwei Network News (Wen/Jiang Cui) On April 29, GUANGZHOU AUTOMOBILE Group disclosed its 2021 annual report that during the reporting period, the group's sales revenue was 75.676 billion yuan, an increase of 19.82% over the same period of the previous year; the net profit attributable to the shareholders of the parent company was 7.511 billion yuan, an increase of 25.94% over the same period of the previous year. Basic earnings per share were RMB0.73, an increase of RMB0.15 from the year-ago quarter.

Regarding the business situation of the performance growth in 2021, GAC Group explained that China's economy continued to recover steadily, and the domestic automobile market was generally stable, although it was affected by a series of impacts such as the recurrence of the epidemic in some parts of the country, the supply of automotive chips, and the rise in raw material prices. Under such circumstances, the Group closely focused on the "14th Five-Year Plan" development plan, actively recovered operating losses, and focused on promoting high-quality development, with annual automobile sales increasing by 4.92% year-on-year. The Group has always adhered to positive research and development, independent innovation, accelerated the launch of new products, and continuously enhanced product strength, and launched a number of new, medium-modified and annual models such as AIONY, Trumpchi Shadow Leopard, Aion AION Plus, Trumpchi GS4PLUS during the reporting period, and continuously enriched the portfolio of independent brand star products. Among them, independent brand new energy vehicles continued to sell hot, with annual sales of more than 120,000 units, an increase of 101.80% year-on-year.

During the reporting period, GAC Group's joint venture product technology has been introduced, and the comprehensive competitiveness has been continuously improved, among which GAC Toyota has maintained a continuous growth trend, the main models are in short supply, the newly launched Camry mid-term redesign, Lingshang and the new fourth-generation Highlander (including dual engines) and Xena, TNGA models continue to be enriched, the structural proportion of new energy and energy-saving products continues to increase; GAC Honda products continue to sell well, and have successively launched Haoying 2021 models, EA6 pure electric vehicles, models, etc., and the product portfolio continues to be optimized. Competitiveness has steadily improved.

It is worth mentioning that the supporting businesses such as financial services, auto parts and business services in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain are closely promoted around the group's strategy, and the synergy effects of various business sectors continue to appear, helping the development of the main business. Among them, the cooperation between financial enterprises has been deepening, business expansion and innovation, which strongly supports the group's automobile sales; Ruqi Travel has continuously enriched its product business, improved service quality, extended its service scope, steadily increased its market share during the reporting period, and newly opened zhuhai, Shenzhen and Dongguan operating businesses, with users and annual orders exceeding 2 times that of 2020.
