"Floating Maple Miles - Ancient Chinese Ceramics Maritime Trade Exhibition" mainly displays porcelain relics salvaged from shipwrecks along the Maritime Silk Road, of which "Nanhai No. 1" shipwreck porcelain is undoubtedly the most brilliant and dazzling among them.
Nanhai No. 1 is an ancient wooden shipwreck that crashed and sank during the shipment of porcelain on the Maritime Silk Road in the early Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279 AD), and is the best-preserved shipwreck site ever found in Underwater Archaeology in China. Underwater archaeology is an extremely difficult and dangerous work, visitors can enjoy precious cultural relics from the seabed recovered from thousands of years ago, underwater archaeologists do not know how many difficulties have been overcome, to express their deep respect!
The beauty of the white-glazed pot utensils is stunning. Its shape is slender and smooth, the whole body is glazed with white glaze, the glaze is smooth and pure white, the treasure light is dark and visible, the neck has string patterns, the sides are decorated with animal title rings, the abdomen has a shallow protruding pattern, the ice muscle jade bone, otherworldly, plain and elegant like a gentleman, like the moon.
The charm of ancient artifacts is that the vicissitudes of history are present, and silence is better than a thousand words. When the artifact was first molded, it seemed like a new person entering the world, but after thousands of years of ups and downs, fading away the glitz of the body, the past was a dream.
The seeker could not help but wonder, a thousand years ago, where would such a beautiful object be transported? Who will put it on the table? How much admiration will it receive from exotic places, and how many fine wines will it fill?
Years make people, and creation is difficult to guess. Was its glorious journey rewritten by the rough seas, or rewritten by the rocky reef? Whatever the cause, from the moment the ship sank, it was doomed to no longer experience the colorful world, but to sleep on the deep seabed of the motherland.
However, it is still unknown whether it is not the best place to return to the bottom of the sea and share the glory with the national treasures? Is it more fortunate than other precious Chinese cultural relics scattered all over the world for various reasons and "nowhere is my hometown"? Is it more meaningful to be stationed here for the sons and daughters of China to trace history and inherit civilization than to often accompany a master or to auction them as treasures of the city?
