After buying Twitter, Musk still wants to buy Coca-Cola?

In the future, the Coca-Cola you drink may taste like more than a hundred years ago.

On April 28, Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted that coca-Cola would be acquired next, and then "cocaine will be added back to the beverage recipe."

A Twitter user responded under Musk's tweet by sharing a photo of the first publicly available Coca-Cola bottle in 1894. This bottle of Coca-Cola contains 3.5 grams of cocaine.

In 1885, John Stith Pemberton, a pharmacist from Atlanta, invented Coca-Cola and marketed it as a non-alcoholic beverage of patented drugs, formulated with cocaine and caffeine, two important stimulant and refreshing substances. According to the National Institute of Drug Abuse, cocaine was legal to sell at the time. It was not until 1929, with the awareness of the dangers of cocaine, that it was officially removed from the recipe of Coca-Cola.

Musk's plans to buy Coca-Cola, though, may be just a joke. After all, it has just raised a lot of money to buy Twitter.

On April 25, Twitter's board said it had accepted Musk's offer to buy the company for $44 billion and take it private. Musk will plan a series of reforms to this digital plaza. So far, investors have worried that Musk may not have enough money to pay for the $21 billion cash portion.

Even if Musk really "does what he says" and acquires Coca-Cola, there will definitely be a bigger funding gap.

It is estimated that Coca-Cola's current market capitalization is about $284.2 billion, while Musk's wealth is currently $253 billion. That is to say, if you really want to buy Coca-Cola, Musk is still not enough to take his own wealth.
