On April 28, the 2022 Geely Boyue model was launched. The new car launched two configurations, the Zhixiang type and the Zhiya type, priced at 102,800 yuan and 112,800 yuan respectively. The new car canceled the manual transmission model, and the starting price was raised to more than 100,000 yuan.
This is a new "game" of Boyue: in a complex external environment, the 2022 Boyue chooses to concentrate on the compact SUV market of 100,000-150,000 yuan, which is both a confidence in the product and a prejudgment of the upgrading of consumer demand.
For a long time, the compact SUV market has been a "gathering place" for hot and even explosive models, with more than 10,000 and more than 20,000 models sold every month, so it has also contributed the most market share to the automobile market. According to the data of the Association, in the first quarter of this year, the cumulative sales of compact SUVs reached 1.331 million units, and the market share reached 27.1%, which is still the largest market segment.
The master is overkill, wonderful but also stressful. It is in such a fierce market environment that Boyue, which has been listed for 6 years, has sold nearly 1.4 million new cars cumulatively, and has even achieved monthly sales of more than 30,000 vehicles many times during the period, which is one of the fastest models in China's SUV market to exceed 500,000 vehicles and 1 million vehicles.
Affected by the epidemic and the tight supply chain in the industry, in the first quarter of this year, Boyue's sales declined year-on-year, but still maintained the monthly sales of more than 10,000, with cumulative sales reaching 36,961 vehicles. Today, the newly upgraded 2022 Boyue has brought new changes in appearance, comfort and power, adding more possibilities to its compact SUV market with serious "inner coil".
In terms of appearance design, the 2022 Boyue continues the energy string design style, which coexists with the energy storm design of Boyue X on top of Boyue; with the newly developed grille mold, soft noise reduction tires, etc., to further enhance the sense of grade of the vehicle.
The interior is equipped with a 10.25-inch central control screen, a luxurious intelligent electronic shift lever, a 6-way adjustable ultra-zero pressure energy seat, etc., supplemented by Dongjigong SN valve system shock absorbers, a more linear and comfortable braking system, and an 80% soft leather package to improve driving comfort.
It is worth mentioning that this time, the 2022 Boyue canceled the manual transmission model, and the two newly listed models are equipped with a 1.8TD+7DCT powertrain, with a maximum power of 135kW, a maximum torque of 300N·m, and a comprehensive fuel consumption of 7.7L per 100 kilometers. In addition, the new car also offers three modes: standard, comfortable and sporty.
In October last year, Boyue added a new Boyue X model, which complemented Boyue and formed a "two-car layout" in another sense. Now, the arrival of Boyue in 2022 will make the strength of Boyue's two-car improve again, further enhancing the possibility of the Boyue family and compact SUVs such as Haval H6 and Changan CS75PLUS.
