On April 25, Beijing time, the 2021-22 NBA playoffs were in full swing. In a just-concluded Eastern Conference playoff game, the Bulls played the Bucks' Game 4 of the series at home. After 48 minutes of fierce competition, the Bulls lost to the Bucks 95:119, trailing 1:3 in the series, and only one defeat away from being eliminated!
According to statistics, after losing 24 points today, the Bulls became the first team in NBA history to lose three consecutive home games in the playoffs, and the point difference reached 20+. The three defeats were: april 27, 2017, the first round of the playoffs G6, the Bulls lost 83-105 at home to the Celtics; on April 23, 2022, the first round of the playoffs, the Bulls lost 81-111 at home to the Bucks; and today's 24-point home defeat to the Bucks.
Even more distressing for Bulls home fans is that they don't seem to know how to win the playoffs at home. In this year's playoffs, they lost both home games. In the first round of the 2016-17 season, they lost to the Celtics in all three home games. The last time the Bulls won at home in the playoffs was back in the 2014-15 season. In other words, Chicago fans haven't seen the Bulls win at home for 7 years.
What is even more humiliating to the Bulls is that the Bulls' "public enemy" has humiliated himself in his own turf twice in a row, and he is Bucks player Grayson Allen. In today's game, Allen played 28 minutes off the bench, shooting 10-of-12, 6-of-7 from three-point range, 1-of-1 free throw, and a career-high 27 points, plus-minus +23 as the highest in the game! Compared to the Bulls' own side, the star DeRozan shot 8 of 20, 5 of 0 three-pointers, 7 of 8 free throws, and had 23 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal, with a plus-minus of -24 being the lowest in the game.
The fifth leg of the two-team series will meet on April 28, with the two sides moving to the Bucks' home stadium. If the Bulls lose, they will be eliminated 1-4 and they will not have to return to the home court.
