Home city residents 800 small town team, what level of Eiffelding's new club?

March 29 was a dark day for Chinese football, but not completely lost. On the same day that Guangzhou City, Kunshan and Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic withdrew from the league, and Yu Hongchen and Dong Zheng were investigated and officially announced, a somewhat sudden transfer news gave people some hope: the captain of the national youth team, Eiffelding, joined Swedish side Miarbi on loan to start his overseas career. Eiffelding's new owner, Miarbi, has rarely appeared in the eyes of Chinese fans before, so what kind of team is this?

What is Mialbi's history?

Heilovik, where Mialbi's home stadium is located, is a very small city. In 2010, there were only 813 inhabitants, and the most famous event was the drowning of seven fishermen from the area in 1862, covering an area of only 0.87 square kilometers. Helovik belongs to a city called Thirsburg, which is also small, with 17,000 inhabitants, and the local town hall is also a modest building.

Mialbi, located here, has a long history. April Fool's Day 1939 was the birth of the Mialbi Club, when the two teams, Listers IF and Hälleviks IF, merged to form what is now Mialbi. With a local population of just over 800, when club founder Benderson floated the idea of merging the two teams, he was mercilessly ridiculed by those around him.

However, Bentsen never gave up any chances, he sold a piece of land of his own to the club at a low price, so that he could play his home games for life, and in order to bring more people to the stadium, Mialbi's stadium expansion lasted for a full three years. In 1953, the stadium was finally inaugurated, and on the same day, Miarbi beat Germany's Lyell 4-1 at home. During the game, a mink that rushed into the stadium attracted attention and even stole the player's limelight, and after this game, the local mink farming industry began to develop, and Benterson also built a mink farm near the stadium, and the business became more and more large.

Later, their mink farming was questioned by animal protection organizations, but Bentsen once again took the spirit of founding Mialbi and improved the breeding conditions and made the industry bigger and bigger. In the mid-to-late seventies, Miarbi achieved the feat of advancing four levels in a row in five years, successfully reaching the top league. In 1980, the team's top-flight debut was crowded to 8,438, 10 times the local population.

Today, Miarbi still plays in the Swedish Super League, and although the record is not outstanding, it is not to be underestimated. To this day, football and mink farming remain Helovik's most talked about businesses, bringing the locals together. In a community, there is a top league team with a history of more than 80 years, such a football culture is really enviable.

Will Eiffelding get a chance?

After Eiffelding's arrival, Larsson, the sporting director of Mialbi Club, said of him: "Eiffelding has the ability to be our team's attacking midfielder, he has played in many positions in China, he is fast, skilled and has excellent running. Of course, as an attacker, Eiffelding also needs to face fierce competition, and the new season is about to start, and Mijalbi will be the most watched team in Sweden by Chinese fans.

Mialbi is the 2019 Swedish First Division champions, finishing 5th in their first season after promotion, but finishing 9th for the next two years. Last season, Miarbi scored 33 goals in 30 league matches, but also conceded exactly 33, attacking averagely, scoring only 2 more goals than relegated Varberg, but defensively acceptable, conceding 33, less than the eventual league champions Horgan.

The introduction of Uffelding was indeed a suitable option for Miarbi to improve his attack. Last season, Mialbi's top scorer was 19-year-old Nigerian striker Nwankowo, who scored eight goals; The team's No. 2 scorer is defender Moros, who has scored four goals, and will move to Yulgaden in the new season.

Prior to bringing in Eiffelding, Miarbi also signed 21-year-old Danish striker Finger and Johansson, who contributed six goals and three assists in the Swedish Premier League last season. Ghanaian Morrow and Swedish goalscorer Johansen were equally impressive last season. Overall, the entire team is dominated by young people in attack, with 3 or 4 more experienced strikers in the Swedish Super League, so the competition for Eiffelding is indeed quite fierce.

Of course, Eiffelding is not without chance, and as an all-rounder, he can switch between strikers and midfielders to adapt to different positions. Compared to his teammates, he has relatively more experience in playing national games, which makes it easier for him to adapt to big scenes. Young and Eiffelding's biggest asset, Miarbi's loan contract contains a buyout clause, and they have been observing Eiffelding for a long time, and the final signing is also an investment in the team's future.

Who else has played here?

After signing with Eiffelding, Miarbi's attention skyrocketed, and many Chinese messages appeared in the comment area of his official account. However, this is not the first time that Chinese football has been linked to Mialbi, in 2021, Wuhan Town, which was promoted to the Central League, brought in foreign striker Ogbu in a visa-free form, and before coming to Wuhan Three Towns, he played for the team that Mialbi was. Ogbu scored 14 goals in the 2020 Swedish Premier League to become the bronze boot of the league and was a key figure in Miarbi's fifth-place finish in the league at the time.

Coming to the Central League One, Ogbu scored 19 goals and provided 5 assists, making great contributions to Wuhan Three Towns Chong Chao, but failed to stay in the team. Last season, Ogbu came to play for Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic, and he joined halfway, contributing 5 goals and 3 assists in 13 games, which was good. Unfortunately, the history of Shaanxi Chang'an Athletic has come to an end today, but in Chinese football, Ogbu definitely has no shortage of home.

Another famous player from Mijalbi is former Swedish international Wilhelmsson. Mijalbi was the first and final leg of Wilhelmsson's career, playing for well-known teams such as Roma, Nantes, Los Galaxy and represented the Swedish national team in three European Championships, as well as the 2006 World Cup. In 2014, Wilhelmsson spent his final playing time at Mialbi in the twilight of his career, and he officially bid farewell to the pitch at the end of the 2015 season.

In the past, Chinese players stayed in the ocean, and there were not many successful cases. Zhang Xizhe and Zhang Yuning landed in the Bundesliga, but failed to get a chance to play. Choosing Sweden as the first stop in the ocean, Eiffelding is more likely to get playing time, and the Chinese youngster who shined in the Asian Youth Championship will start a new journey, and his performance is worth looking forward to.
