Next season, will it be Alphabet Brother's revenge season?
Brother Alphabet posted a training back photo and wrote: I have been concentrating on cultivation all summer.
This summer, Alphabet Brother withdrew from the Men's Basketball World Cup, and judging from Alphabet Brother's dynamics, in addition to participating in the commercial activities of endorsement brands, he basically trained in the Bubble Boy Training Gym the rest of the time.

In the 2022-23 season, the Bucks, who had the highest record in the regular season league and were favorites to compete for the championship, suffered a humiliating first-round trip by the Heat. Although the alphabet brother played less than 11 minutes in the first match before withdrawing due to injury, G2 and G3 were also absent. But being hacked is being hacked, and history will only remember the result.
At the end of the season, when asked by reporters whether he thought this season was a failure, the depressed alphabet brother replied: Jordan played in the NBA for 15 years and won 6 championships, is the other 9 years a failure?
Alphabet Brother is undoubtedly a hard-working and unyielding player, otherwise he would not have grown from the thin Alphabet Brother in his rookie season to the "Greek monster" he is today. It's one thing to be unhappy with a reporter's question, and Brother Alphabet has no doubt set up a flag for himself to make a comeback.
In 2020, the Bucks were the favorites to win the championship, and were eliminated 4-1 by the Heat in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Then, in 2021, the Bucks met the Heat again, took revenge 4-0, and made it all the way to the Finals championship. In 2022, the Bucks played 7 games out of the semifinals with the Celtics, and in the 2023 playoffs, before the Green Army could take revenge, the Bucks were blacked by the Heat.
This summer, the Bucks signed Middleton and Lopez Sr., keeping the core of the team intact, while firing former championship coach Budenholzer and hiring rookie coach Adrian Griffin. There is no doubt that this team will still be one of the favourites next season.
Of course, the Bucks' core is on the older side, and if the core roster remains the same, their championship window may be only two years. Previously, Alphabet Brother refused to renew his contract early and said that he did not mind winning the championship in other teams, in order to put pressure on the team to strengthen.
Alphabet Brother is still at his peak, and has been improving in recent years, although the three-point shooting rate and production of the season are still not high, but Alphabet Brother is now significantly more confident in shooting three-pointers, and he dares to shoot three-point shots at key moments. He remains the league's most dominant player on both ends of the offensive and defensive ends.
The problem with the Bucks is that the core members other than the alphabet brother are older and declining.
Holladay, who is 34 next season, is down from 2021-22 last season, especially in the playoffs, shooting just 28.6 percent from three-point range. Of course, Holloday's defense and many times his performance in key moments are still trustworthy.
Middleton is 33 years old next season, but has experienced a major injury, playing only 33 games last season, averaging 15.1 points per game and shooting just 31.5% from three-point range, a career low. Fortunately, in the playoffs, Middleton seems to have regained some form, averaging 23.8 points per game and shooting 40.6% from three-point range. As the Bucks' No. 2 scorer, next season, Alphabet Brother needs the former Middleton.
Da Luo played in 78 games last season, averaging 30.4 minutes per game, a new high in the past seven seasons. Last season, Da Luo squatted down to the basket and was crucial in the Bucks' defensive system, and also finished in the DPOY top three. But in the playoffs, he was repeatedly trained by the Heat guards. Next season, Da Luo will be 36 years old and will likely be slower and easier to target.
Another question is what new manager Adrian Griffin will change this team.
Griffin was a pure role player during his playing days, and although he was not good at scoring as a player, he was very good at defense. After retiring in 2008, he joined the coaching staff of Bucks head coach Skyles, a disciplined, defensive coach. Griffin became an assistant coach for Thibodeau in 2010, assistant coach for Jacob Vaughn and Vogel in 2015-18, and assistant coach for NAS in the summer of 2018.
Judging from the resume of Assistant Griffin, he has served as an assistant coach for a number of well-known defensive coaches, and the Bucks are expected to remain at the top of the league defensively this season. The regular season Bucks still don't have to worry, the key is how to use Da Lo in the playoffs against different opponents. Budenholzer's problem is that no matter what the opponent's lineup, he still keeps Da Lo on the field.
What the Bucks need to improve may be the team's offensive efficiency, which last season was 114.3, 15th in the league, which is still a bit low for a championship team.
Next season, if the Heat fail to trade Lillard, the Bucks' biggest opponent in the East will still be the Greens. How far you can go in the end sometimes really depends on luck.
