Walking on the sidewalk, looking around at the different directions outside the wall, there are several freshly built gray and white residential high-rise buildings, lined up one after another, color and height, all in stark contrast with the flat villager buildings around them.

Originally, there were also multicolored calligraphy and paintings on the yellow walls
The two walls are 100 meters long and have a rich collection of painted paintings on the walls. These paintings all condense the most distinctive local culture of Tingen Village, including the Tingen Lion Awakening Group, the Tinggen Ancestral Hall, the ancient rural life scene, the traditional family style and the party building culture. Painting after painting records the best cultural parts of Tingen on the flat walls, and the exploration of the three-dimensional story behind the painting has just begun.
The twists and turns of "Tingen Village"
Tingen Village, located southwest of Shatou Subdistrict, was founded in the 17th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1280). The village is located in the Pearl River Delta Plain City Bridge Terrace hilly area, surrounded by More than 30 hills such as Dafu Mountain, Huangmeiwo, Dagang, etc., now all included in the Dafu Mountain Forest Park, the village area of 3.27 square kilometers, the natural environment is unique, is Panyu worthy of the name of natural oxygen bar.
When it comes to the origin of the name "Tingen Village", there are also several small twists and turns. Tingen Village was originally named Ningren Village, due to the poor natural environment of the village in the past, many young adults chose to go out to earn a living, and the fathers and elders in the village encouraged young people to take root in their hometown, so they were named "Nail Root". Soon after, because the local water shortage had an impact on the development of production, the villagers believed that if there was water, there would be wealth, and they would really take root, so in order to have a good intention, they changed "nails" to "Ting" one by one, and finally named Tingen Village.
Awakening lion culture shows the style of Lingnan
After walking for a while, I saw the words "awakening lion culture town" appear on the wall, and continued to move forward to reach the waking lion base, there are vivid dragon and lion elements on the wall next to the base, and the awakening lion culture of Tingen is about to come out here.
In 1983, the Tingen Dragon and Lion Regiment was founded. Liu Guanghui, the current leader of the Dragon and Lion Troupe, whose father is one of the founders of the Dragon and Lion Troupe, has followed his father to learn dragon and lion performances since he was a child. After years of experience, the Dragon and Lion Troupe has become a rookie in the Lingnan lion art industry.
"Loyalty and righteousness, courage, endless learning, diligent practice and innovation" is the purpose of the Tingen Dragon and Lion Regiment. The Tingen Lion Awakening Team not only inherits the spirit and artistic style of traditional Chinese lion dance, but also learns from the world's top lion awakening teams overseas, and changes the traditional lion awakening gameplay, integrating a number of exquisite elements such as martial arts, dance, acrobatics, mechanics, and aesthetics.
Not only that, on the basis of the original southern lion awakening technique, the Dragon Lion Troupe absorbed and integrated the northern school lion dance skills, and skillfully blended the high pile awakening lion, the folk martial art "plum blossom pile" and the southern school awakening lion routine. Every year, Liu Guanghui will lead the Dragon and Lion Troupe to participate in various performances or competitions at home and abroad, not only to shine the folk art of waking lions on various stages in the world, but also to win many awards. As the leader of the regiment, Liu Guanghui's dream is to continue to grow the dragon and lion team and let more people love the dragon and lion culture.
The century-old ancestral hall exudes new vitality
In the corner, on the painted wall is a column of ancient ancestral halls of The Tingen. If you continue to go deep into the village of Tingen, you will find that the prototype of the ancestral hall on the original wall is quietly standing among the scattered villagers' buildings.
There are 7 ancestral halls in Tingen Village, namely Beijian Liu Gong Ancestral Hall, Lianjian Liu Gong Ancestral Hall, Liu Clan Ancestral Hall, Songqin Li Ancestral Hall, Yu Clan Ancestral Hall, Fifth Yu Gong Ancestral Hall and Liang Clan Ancestral Hall. Among them, the Liu Ancestral Hall and the Liang Ancestral Hall are the cultural relics protection units of Panyu District, and the other remaining ancestral halls are registered cultural relics protection units in Panyu District. Most of these existing ancestral halls were built in the Qing Dynasty and have a history of more than 100 years. In order to better protect the ancestral hall cultural relics, the village's people have rebuilt it through government help and self-financing.
On the lintel of the Liang Ancestral Hall, there are also murals of the character stories of yang Ruishi, a famous painter of the Qing Dynasty, which are three-more and four-phase diagrams. Sanduotu is a common theme of folk painting, which originally referred to multi-wealth and multi-life, and now evolved into Multi-Fu And Duo-Lu Multi-Life. The four-phase diagram depicts the contents of the same picture of four prime ministers.
These carefully repaired ancestral halls and murals have preserved the architectural style of the corresponding historical period, which not only has high artistic value, but also provides a physical object for historical research of Tingen's ancestral hall culture.
There is a concentric pavilion in the park
Walk to the end of the long wall, through the ancient wind corridor of Ningren Avenue, and then pass through the Tingen Village Cultural Square, you will come to Tingen Village Park, where there is a tall pavilion with eight pillars, which is the Concentric Pavilion. It turned out that this concentric pavilion had just swung past the painted wall that passed by.
Tongxin Pavilion is named after the concentric couplet, which means that although Tingen has many surnames in one village, it is still united and builds a beautiful home with one heart and one mind.
The front of the Tongxin Pavilion is linked as follows: "Tong Shu said Rice And Hemp, YiLe Yan knew Wei Jinshi; the heart was like a brother, and the harmony had won over Zhu Chen Village." This union is a crane top grid, starting with the word "concentric", the upper link of rice and ma ming refers to agricultural affairs, alluding to the large number of friends, and the lower link refers to the same village with different surnames, but the heart is like a brother.
Shanglian "Yile Yan Zhi Wei Jin Shi" refers to the village like a peach blossom source, "do not know that there is a Han, regardless of Wei Jin" ("Peach Blossom Origin" phrase), but also implies the beauty of the village appearance.
The lower link "Harmony has won Zhu Chen Village" refers to the fact that it is more harmonious than the famous "Zhu Chen Village" in history, because Bai Juyi's "Zhu Chen Village Poem" says that "there are only two surnames in one village", but Tingen has five major surnames, but it can still coexist harmoniously, which is intended to express that this place is more precious than Zhu Chen Village.
The painted content of the 100-meter-long wall closely echoes the village culture of Tingen in time and space. The guardians of the homeland have used modern art design to photograph the dust of the century-old village, so that the traces of history can be revealed again, and the rejuvenated Tingen Village has also opened its arms and continued to wait for more visitors to discover its beauty.
