The east wind is getting warmer, everything is recovering, under the ancient banyan tree in Yuetang Village, Heshan City, in the middle of The Yanglian, the wooden door of the Longxi Feng Gong Ancestral Hall is slowly opened, which begins the story of the Yuetang chapter of our "Reporters Walking to the Grassroots Level - Ancestral Hall • Yuelian Culture" today.
With the ritual of the door, the order of the homecoming ceremony is passed on. In front of the Feng Gong Ancestral Hall in Longxi, one left and one right, a pair of golden characters and a pair of stone carved drum stones follow the passage of more than 700 years of time, telling the story of Yuetang passed down by word of mouth... In the second month of the mid-spring lunar calendar, returning to the ancestral hall again, Feng Kunlian, a villager in Yuetang Village and former vice principal of Heshan Vocational and Technical School, was deeply touched.

Shanglian is "sitting pillow mountain a few points far peak horizontal pen frame": this Longxi Feng Gong Ancestral Hall is located in the Gongshan (former name), if you look to the west, you can see the undulating mountains, that side is called Beacon Mountain, also resembles the pen holder used by literati inkers to place brushes, reflecting the family style of our Chongwen re-education; the lower link is "Yuankai Yueshui Wanshui Tributary Sect Pregnant Zhujie": Our ancestors came to Yuetang and opened branches and leaves, which is the meaning of "Ten Thousand Branches", and the final "Pregnant Zhujie" coincidentally contains our ancestors from the Central Plains to the south, through Shaoguan Nanxiong Zhujie Lane. The allusion to the descendants who came to Yuetang is still preserved in Zhujie Lane.
"Li Le ropes its ancestors, poetry books and poems, Sun Mou", "Filial piety and sacraments learn to do good deeds, heaven and earth are grateful for the blessings of the stars"... Every descendant of the Feng clan who entered the ancestral hall had a different kind of memories and feelings for the Yanglian culture in the ancestral hall. "The spirit conveyed by these links has deeply inspired each generation of Feng's descendants."

Yuetang villagers are enthusiastic about helping students and enjoy learning, in history, we have produced a lot of people and soldiers in Yuetang, after the reform and opening up, our Feng Yubin, Feng Qianyun and so on in Yuetang have also been admitted to Tsinghua University and other institutions of higher learning... Why do we have such educational achievements? Because Yuetang people have a passion for studying and learning, especially our village committee, in the village rules and regulations, it is clearly stipulated that all universities that are admitted to the top five universities in the country will be rewarded with 10,000 yuan after receiving the admission letter. In addition, every year, the primary and secondary school students from Yuetang are awarded the honor of "Three Good Students", and our village also has awards, which further stimulates the children's enthusiasm for studying hard and advocating advanced.
According to the Chongguang Monument of Feng Gonglongxi Ancestral Ancestral Hall, "Yuetang Feng Gonglongxi Ancestral Ancestral Hall was founded in Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty for twenty-three years... Based on the thick planting and inheritance of traditional culture and overseas Chinese culture, Yuetang villagers also attach more importance to the protection of traditional Lingnan buildings and ancient trees in the village, and have demarcated the Longxi Feng Gong Ancestral Land Protection Area and the Ancient Banyan Tree Protection Area, and to this day, there are still a number of ancient trees around the ancestral hall and in the village ranging from 200 years to 150 years, hanging the protection plate of ancient trees in Jiangmen City, and having the identity of "National Third-level Protected Plants".
In March 2012, Longxi Feng Gong Ancestral Hall was rated as an immovable cultural relics of Heshan City and became a well-known cultural relics protection unit in Heshan. The scene of Heshan lion art culture with the ancestral hall as the background, as well as the dragon boat culture carefully inherited by local villagers, has been displayed many times in the lens of CCTV, Phoenix Satellite TV column group and mainstream media of countries along the "Belt and Road" and other media at home and abroad, telling the story of Heshan Intangible Cultural Heritage in the new era to China and even the world.
If longxi Feng Gong Ancestral Hall is the "treasure" of Heshan Ancestral Hall architecture, Yuetang Thirteen Square is the "relict pearl" of ancient architectural protection.
"Looking forward to a smooth future, the country is rich and the people are strong, and Lou Jingxiu is victorious in everything and the economy is prosperous." The representative building of Yuetang Thirteen Squares, this "Hidden Head" couplet in front of Wangloufang, skillfully integrates the traditional Yanglian and the new wind of the times, but few people know the allusions behind it.
"Yuetang Wangloufang, Lugang Township personally lived in the port, cherished his hometown, and has always donated funds to the establishment of public welfare undertakings in his hometown..." "Built the Monument to the Gate of Wangloufang, the first six days of June in the summer of the ninth year of Yongzheng..."
Heshan County began in the Yongzheng Decade of the Qing Dynasty (1732 AD), the county seat is located in Hecheng, because there is a mountain peak to the north that resembles a large crane and got its name... "Originally, the history of this 'Wangloufang' was a year earlier than 'Heshan', and many of us Yuetang villagers themselves are still unclear. Yi Guolin, deputy director of the Yuetang Village Committee, was also surprised after reading the inscription, "We should dig more and protect the local historical and cultural resources around us..."
According to the Yuetang Thirteen Fang Chronicle, "The thirteen fangs have a long-term landscape ... By the time of the Qing Yongzheng period, Yuetang was already densely populated and the villagers were rich. It is reported that at that time, the village settlement was mostly blocked by fishing ponds, and the villagers needed to cross the pond base, from which the name of the township came from. ”
"A lookout tower is big and langran, and the Nanshan Beishe is connected to the mountain..." In the old days, a song in the fang sang the Yuetang pattern of "13 fangs and 9 miles" of Yuetang Helongfang, Yilingfang, Dayuanfang, Dalangfang, Wangloufang, Songbeifang, Yuqingfang, Shengtangfang, Taipingfang, Dragon Guard, Peak Fang, Mountainside Fang, Beishefang, Shuibuli, Miaoqianli, Zhongheli, Changzhongli, Dongbili, Dashali, Xinmeili, Yixili, and Shishili.

After the changes of the times, today's Yuetang, close to Heshan urban area, industrial and commercial development, with an impressive economy, but also with its profound humanistic history, reputation in Southeast Asia Heshan lion art, etc. are praised, the village has Feng surname, Yi surname, He surname, Huang surname, Deng surname villagers, household registration population of about 3300 people, the village collective income of nearly 50 million yuan, has won the "respect for teachers and re-education" advanced units, Jiangmen City Democratic Rule of Law Village (residence), Heshan City Civilized Village Committee and other honorary titles, becoming a well-known star village in Heshan.
