Zhao Anliang, deputy general manager of Beijing Publishing Group, said that after the "Beijing Ancient Books Series", "Beijing Historical Atlas", "Beijing Oral History", "Everyone Beijing Fan", and other book brands that led the national trend, the Beijing Publishing House published this set of "Yuchuan Anthology" is a new effort and attempt, trying to excavate and disseminate the connotation of Beijing culture that is more grounded, more characteristic of Beijing style and material, and more in line with the requirements of the new era, and strives to let more scholars and readers participate in the construction of Beijing culture. Let every Beijinger consciously participate in the connotation excavation and inheritance of Beijing culture, and enhance our cultural self-confidence. It is hoped that the publication of this collection of essays will promote the districts and counties of Beijing to tell the stories of contemporary Beijing in a literary style.
On the eve of the National Reading Conference, Nie Zhenning, an advocate and lead reader of reading for all, affirmed the "Collected Works of Yuchuan" from the perspective of reading for the whole people. "Because only through reading can we talk to excellent works and excellent brains, can we break through our own limitations and give ourselves a bigger pattern and a higher position." In all reading, literary and artistic works are the most direct appeal to our senses through truth, goodness and beauty, and the most universal, suitable for reading by the whole people. Zhou Min, executive vice president of the Laoshe College of Literature in Beijing, praised the standard of the series from the perspective of literary criticism.

Gao Lizhi, deputy editor-in-chief of Beijing Publishing House, talked about the planning process of the book and introduced some specific measures of how Beijing Publishing House can do a good job in Beijing cultural books.
