Imagery of the East, elegant set Tokyo. On October 15th, the "Imagery · Oriental - Chinese Contemporary Art Works (Japan) Series Exhibition" sponsored by Chinese Cultural Figures Magazine, Calligraphy and Painting Channel and Hong Kong Fengxi Times Group was grandly opened at the Chinese Cultural Center in Tokyo, Japan.
"Imagery · Oriental - Chinese Contemporary Art Works (Japan) Series Exhibition", including "Journey to the Secret Land - Xu Li Oil Painting Art Exhibition", "Mo Dao Water Virtue - Badashan People (Shiguo) Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" and related pen meetings, lectures and other exchange activities. The exhibition features more than 80 classic works and latest masterpieces by Xu Li and Shi Guo, two of the most representative artists of contemporary China, in the form of oil painting, ink painting, mixed media and other genres.
The "Journey to the Secret Land - Xu Li Oil Painting Art Exhibition" will be held from October 15th to 19th. Xu Li, a famous contemporary Chinese artist and one of the leaders of the Chinese art world, has served as the former secretary of the party group, vice chairman and secretary general of the Chinese Artists Association, director of the National Art Creation Committee on Major Themes, deputy director of the Painting and Calligraphy Office of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and vice president of the China Association for International Exchange. His creations embody the artistic characteristics of Chinese and Western fusion, diverse themes and distinctive styles. As a rising painter in the new era, he not only integrates and develops oil painting, but also deeply cultivates in the field of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy.
While drawing on various foreign arts, including the innovative ideas of modern contemporary art in Europe and the United States, Xu Li attaches great importance to the in-depth study of the themes and techniques of Chinese iconic art over the centuries, integrates the ontological language characteristics of oil painting art with the techniques of traditional Chinese painting art, absorbs the freehand techniques of Chinese ink painting, and writes with a stroke of the brush, drawing on the chapter, layout, realm and rhyme of traditional landscape painting. At the same time, it presents a distinct language characteristic of oil painting art and modern aesthetic taste in the brushwork and coloring, with Chinese weather, Chinese character and Chinese spirit.
This exhibition selects Xu Li's new exploration achievements on the road of integration between China and the West, highlighting China's aesthetic interests, disseminating contemporary Chinese values, and promoting the spirit of Chinese culture, so as to paint a new picture of Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges and promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
The exhibition will be on display from October 21 to 25. Shi Guo, a famous calligrapher and painter, the founder of Chinese experimental ink art, has served as the vice president of Guangdong Zhuhai Painting Academy, the dean of the School of Art and Design of Zhuhai College of Beijing Institute of Technology, and the son of Shi Lu, an "outstanding art master of the 20th century".
Shi Guo's artworks combine the profound accumulation of traditional Chinese culture and the innovative spirit of contemporary art. This exhibition will showcase Shi Guo's unique "experimental ink" art masterpieces, focusing on his innovation and creativity in traditional painting and calligraphy art, showing the Japan people who love Chinese culture how the spirit of ink painting transcends the artistic charm of media to complete expression, highlighting the diversity and vitality of today's Chinese art.
