Targeting Rose this summer? The Lakers can consider 2 options: Tucknaen into a chip, sacrificing the first round is not worth it

It's no secret that the Lakers need to change their rosters this offseason, and they definitely need to reinforce point guard positions this offseason. Russell Westbrook's experiment has been a complete failure for the Lakers, especially the pairing of Westbrook and James can not allow the Lakers to play an efficient offensive performance.

So if the Lakers do want to strengthen the backcourt this offseason, point guard players with stable outside projection capabilities are definitely the ideal targets for this Lakers, which is why the Lakers should target Derrick Rose. US media James Pearsey proposed the following two deal proposals:

Scenario 1:

Knicks get: Taren Horton Tucker, Kendrick Nunn

The Lakers get: Derrick Rose

Scenario two:

Pistons get: Tarlon Horton Tucker, Luka Shamanic, Mark McLaren, 2024 first-round picks (from the Knicks), 2027 first-round picks (from the Lakers)

Knicks get: Jeramie Grant

The Lakers get: Derrick Rose

Both of these deals could give the Lakers a veteran point guard like Derrick Rose who can help the team in terms of organizational and outside threats, but the Lakers also need to sacrifice Tucker or Nunn, and even add the 2027 first-round pick.

For the Lakers, sending Tucker and Nunn back to Rose is already the best situation, after all, the Knicks are still in the rebuilding stage of the team, Tucker and Nunn will also be the chip reward they want to get. As for giving away the 2027 first-round pick for Rose, this will not be a deal that the Lakers should do.
