DeRozan averaged 38.5 minutes per game in 13 regular-season games this month, second only to RJ Barrett in the league's average mid-game appearances, and deRozan remained extremely efficient after such a long appearance, averaging 34.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game with 55.3 percent shooting and 40 percent three-point shooting.

DeRo is in favor of the third player in Bulls history to average 30+ points per game in a single month in the regular season, only Michael Jordan and Zach Lavin have done so, and LaVine's only previous single-month average of 30+ points per game was 30.9 points per game in 14 regular season games in February 2021 with 53.8% shooting, which means that DeRozan's single-month average of points per game is second only to Jordan in Bulls history, and the second month in Bulls history to score no less than 55.0% in Bulls history. Players with an average of 30+ points per game in shooting percentages, DeRozan is already comparable to Jordan in terms of these statistics!

Dro favored winning the "Player of the Month" for the fifth time in Bulls history, after only Michael Jordan, Scott Pippen, Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler. Jordan's 16th Best of the Month tied for second in NBA history with Kobe Bryant, Pippen and Rose each got two Best of the Month, and Butler had a weekly best in November 2014.

Look at the draft history of these people, Jordan was selected by the Bulls as a probing show in the 1984 NBA Draft, Pippen was traded to the Bulls after being selected by the Supersonics with the 5th pick in the first round in 1987, Rose was selected by the Bulls in 2008, Butler was selected by the Bulls with the 30th pick in the first round in 2011, butler was selected by the Raptors with the 9th pick in 2009, and was traded to the Bulls at the age of 32. In other words, Dro is in favor of being the only player in Bulls history whose NBA career started with another team but won the Bulls' "Best of the Month" player.
