As the first model of NIO's brand, the Ledao L60 will be officially unveiled on May 15. A teaser image of the new car was also released recently. After the launch of this new car, it mainly faces the 200,000-300,000 segment, and the Tesla Model Y is its direct competitor.
According to the teaser picture and the previous real car drawing, the appearance of the new car adopts a new design language, the front face adopts a closed design, and the headlights are split shapes, which looks very sharp. The front surround is blackened. The new car will not be equipped with a lidar function, and will adopt a purely visual approach.
On the side of the body, there is a concealed door handle. The outside of the windows and side skirts are blackened. There is no exact data on the body data, but it is understood that the size of the Ledao L60 will be larger than the Tesla Model Y, referring to the Model Y, its length, width and height are 4750/1921/1624mm, and the wheelbase is 2890mm.
The rear of the car has a fastback design, the ducktail shape is very sporty, and the taillights are very slender and extend to the sideways. A large area of blackening is added to the rear surrounding.
In terms of power, the Ledao L60 will be based on the same 900V silicon carbide platform as the NIO ET9, or it will only be equipped with a single motor drive, and the chassis part is likely to be a combination of front MacPherson + rear five-link independent suspension. In terms of battery life, it is reported that the new car will use a lithium iron phosphate battery pack provided by BYD and a ternary lithium battery pack provided by CATL, which not only supports fast charging, but also can be replaced.
In terms of price, the starting price of Ledao L60 may start at 229,900 yuan, if so, it is indeed more affordable than Tesla Model Y (starting price: 249,900). However, the sales of Tesla Model Y in the mid-size SUV are very hot, and it is very difficult for Ledao L60 to be tough opponents, but if the price is close to the people, there will be a certain terminal concession in the future, and it may also have the potential to go to the volume.
