MSI says the MSI 600 series motherboards are currently fully compatible with i9-12900KS processors. For best performance, MSI has introduced an optimized BIOS for the Z690 motherboard for players to update.

IT Home learned that the i9-12900KS is designed for 8 large cores + 8 small cores, of which the small core main frequency is 2.5GHz and the turbo frequency is 4GHz, which is 100MHz higher than the i9-12900K; the large core main frequency is 3.4GHz, and the turbo frequency is 5.5GHz, which is 300MHz higher than the i9-12900K. The processor's base power consumption is 150W, which is 25W higher than the i9-12900K, and the maximum turbo power consumption is 241W, the same as the i9-12900K.

A few days ago, the overclocking player "Splave" used 70 liters of liquid nitrogen to push the i9-12900KS to 7.8 GHz on the octa-core.

The i9-12900KS is available now and is priced at 5699 RMB.
