There are two festivals in the world dedicated to children
One is Children's Day
The other is International Children's Book Day
April 2 is the birthday of Danish children's literature master Hans Christian Andersen, in order to arouse people's love of reading and attention to children's books, in 1967, the International Children's Book Alliance designated this day as "International Children's Book Day".
On the occasion of the International Children's Reading Day, in order to stimulate children's interest in reading, cultivate children's good reading habits, enhance parent-child relationship, enhance children's physical coordination ability, and cultivate children's comprehensive learning ability, at 7 pm on April 1, 2022, Xiajian Community Children's Home organized a series of International Children's Book Festival activities on the neighborhood platform, and a total of ten groups of parent-child families participated in this activity.
The main content of this activity includes three parts, the first part is the teacher explaining the picture book story for the children, the second part is the teacher leading the children to carry out parent-child games, and the third part is the handmade creation for the parent-child family.
Listen to picture books and think diligently – "Let's read together"
In the picture book reading session, the teacher selected the story of "Snail and Turtle" for the children. The little snail and the little turtle are a pair of very good friends, they have a lot of similarities, they have a lot of differences, there are so many differences from each other, but they are still the best friends. Therefore, true good friends should appreciate each other's strengths and tolerate each other's shortcomings.

Through the story that snails and turtles are good friends, the teacher let the children experience the true meaning of friends in a subtle way, and told the children: friends are good partners who accept, tolerate, forgive, accompany, share, and grow up together.

Play games, move your body – "Let's listen to the instructions together"
After reading the picture book of "Snails and Turtles", the teacher took the children to start a small game of "listening to instructions and snaring".
"Pick up a big circle, we lift it up, and then the circle goes down, and we jump out like this." With the teacher's repeated demonstrations and instructions, the children lined up to play small games, and the scene was full of fun. For young babies, instructional games can cultivate children's sense of rules, exercise children's physical coordination ability, and promote the common development of children's limbs and thinking.

"This is the big eyes of the red panda, this is the little nose of the red panda, this is the hands and legs of the red panda. Yikes! Mom, Mom, we forgot to make panda ears! As a childish and cute voice continues to come out of the children's home, a red panda with different styles has gradually taken shape, and the children have run to the teacher's side to take a group photo together to show their small works tonight! The faces of parents and children were filled with happy smiles.
