SMD and COB packages have their own advantages and characteristics
Luo Zhijun believes that with the gradual reduction of the display point spacing, limited by the size of traditional SMD products and the process accuracy of surrounding supporting materials, the traditional single package is gradually transformed into an integrated package. From a technical point of view, SMD is a simple separation of light-emitting device packages, while COB is a set of drivers, light-emitting chips, PCB carrier boards for integrated packaging, each has its own advantages and characteristics. SMD has certain advantages in appearance consistency and display effect consistency, but after the spacing is gradually reduced, SMD has problems such as limited size, difficultY of SMT patching, and poor thrust and poor protection, and COB has more obvious advantages in this regard. In addition, under the blessing of Mini flip chip, the COB advantage continues to be gradually reflected in the spacing, such as high luminous efficiency, high reliability (no reflux and thermal damage), and COB also has its own disadvantages, such as yield, cost, surface ink consistency, and continue to make technological breakthroughs, such as huge transfer technology, chip consistency, transfer accuracy, etc.

Outdoor LED display fire Crystal platform launched a differentiated program
In the past two years, due to the "naked-eye 3D" visual effects and the "100 cities and 100 screens" policy, outdoor LED displays have once again regained great attention from inside and outside the industry, and application cases have emerged in an endless stream. At the same time, the outdoor display requirements for high-definition brightness and waterproof weather resistance are also getting higher and higher, how is the crystal platform laid out? Luo Zhijun said that in order to cope with the outdoor "5G +8K, 100 cities and thousands of screens dazzling ultra-clear vision" application needs, the first need to meet high brightness, low power consumption; the second to meet the requirements of ultra-high definition. The outdoor LED display spacing will gradually move towards small spacing, and the chip size of the packaged product will be miniaturized, and the waterproof performance, corrosion resistance and outdoor extreme temperature difference ability of the product itself will be a higher requirement.
