Song Jin is known as China's "crown of splendid embroidery", teacher Qian Xiaoping, as the only national inheritor of Song Brocade weaving skills, a national silk expert, and the winner of the National Cocoon Silk Industry Lifetime Achievement Award, will dedicate his life to silk, so that Song Jin, who was once on the verge of being lost, has regained his life, and is still struggling unremittingly at the age of more than 80 years old, making great contributions to the inheritance and development of Song Jin and silk. With great reverence, we conducted an in-depth interview with Teacher Qian Xiaoping, and intend to show her legendary life to the world through a series of reports, so as to pay tribute to Teacher Qian Xiaoping and the predecessors he represents, and at the same time inspire the world to make unremitting efforts with its spirit.

Educational heritage, peach and plum fragrance full of garden
Teacher Qian Xiaoping has devoted most of her life and time in the field of Song Jin, achieved brilliant achievements, and left a valuable intangible cultural heritage for mankind. In order to better pass on the skills of Song Jin, Teacher Qian Xiaoping wrote books and published books, personally led apprentices, and aroused the society's attention to the traditional skills of Song Jin through various possible ways.
Teacher Qian Xiaoping has always attached great importance to the cultivation of disciples, and has cultivated many outstanding descendants over the years, including Wang Guohe, Ding Huaijin, Wang Chen, Shen Hui, Shen Zhixian, Liu Meizhen, Zhou Jiang, Feng Yu and so on.
Teacher Qian Xiaoping not only taught them professional knowledge and skills such as fabric design skills and art appreciation, but also taught them how to behave and how to struggle. She uses her life motto "Be a person and do things, do your best and have no regrets!" "Success is the crystallization of wisdom and perseverance", "Countless small successes constitute big successes" and so on to motivate students.

Wang Guohe is the first master's degree student in silk engineering brought by Qian Xiaoping, a teacher hired by Suzhou Silk Institute of Technology. Through years of hard work, he is now a professor and doctoral supervisor of textile science and engineering in the School of Textile and Clothing Engineering of Soochow University. He has presided over and participated in more than 60 scientific research and teaching projects cooperated by the state, provinces, municipalities and enterprises, and his scientific research achievements have won more than 10 scientific and technological progress awards of the China Textile Industry Federation and the Jiangsu Provincial Government, etc., the research and development products have won the National Silk Innovation Product Gold Award, more than 10 national authorized patents, the teaching achievements have won more than 10 teaching achievement awards of the China Textile Industry Federation, Jiangsu Province and other provinces, ministries and municipalities, published more than 150 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, and won the Textile Light Teacher Award of the China Textile Industry Federation.

Ding Huaijin, a student of Qian Xiaoping when she worked in the Suzhou Silk Weaving Specimen Factory, has been following her to learn silk variety design and participated in the research of textile artificial blood vessels. Later, he followed Mr. Qian to found the Suzhou Silk Museum, and participated in the reproduction of ancient silk cultural relics and the compilation of professional theoretical books. He is now a senior engineer and former director of the Suzhou Silk Museum.

Shen Hui, after being transferred from Suzhou Silk Research Institute to Suzhou Silk Museum in 1995, has been following Qian Xiaoping to participate in the reproduction and restoration of ancient silk cultural relics, as well as the compilation of professional books. Teacher Qian focused on teaching her the structure and skills of Song Jin. Today, she is a researcher-level senior engineer and the provincial inheritor of the "Song Brocade Weaving Technique". And won the "Suzhou New Century Senior Young Professional and Technical Talents", Jiangsu Province "333 High-level Talent Training Project" and other honors.

Shen Zhixian, as Qian Xiaoping's personal disciple, has followed Qian Xiaoping to learn silk-related knowledge and traditional silk weaving techniques from the early days of founding the Suzhou Silk Museum. He once engaged in the operation of ancient jacquard looms in the weaving workshop, and then formally studied with Qian Xiaoping to learn the organizational structure, craft characteristics, weaving techniques, etc. of Song Jin, and participated in the reproduction of Song Jin cultural relics, continuously improving the ability of practical operation, and familiar with the various processes of Song Brocade weaving. At the same time, he participated in the compilation of professional books edited by Teacher Qian Xiaoping. Now she is Qian Xiaoping's assistant and the representative inheritor of Suzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage "Song Brocade Weaving Technique".
In order to better inherit The skills of Song Jin, Teacher Qian Xiaoping wrote books and published books and personally led apprentices, and now she is a peach and plum garden, she has contributed her life to arouse the society's attention to this traditional skill of Song Jin through various possible ways, bringing about the revival of Song Jin again...

Qian Xiaoping, director of the Ancient Silk Reproduction Research Institute, a national-level silk expert with outstanding contributions, the inventor of the second generation of artificial blood vessels, the founder of Suzhou Silk Museum, a deputy to the Third National People's Congress, and the national inheritor of Song brocade weaving skills.
Suzhou Qian Xiaoping Ancient Silk Reproduction Research Institute was established in 2006, formerly known as "China Silk Weaving and Embroidery Cultural Relics Reproduction Center". "China Silk Weaving and Embroidery Cultural Relics Reproduction Center" was established in 1995, under the leadership of Qian Xiaoping, successfully copied more than 20 precious silk cultural relics such as the pre-Qin, lianghan, Sui, Tang, Ming and Qing dynasties, and won the third prize and the first prize of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. In 2008, the Publicity Department of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, the Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture and Guangdong and other five units jointly awarded the "Qian Xiaoping Song Brocade Weaving Skills Master Studio", aiming to continue to excavate, protect and inherit traditional silk culture and skills - especially the traditional Song brocade weaving skills that are on the verge of being lost.
Since its establishment, the Institute has successfully copied and created Song Jin works such as "Northern Song Dynasty Spirit Vulture Ball Road Pattern Brocade", "Ming Hongdi Swastika Peony Ruyi Song Jin", "Qing Ling Ge Sihe Ruyi Jin", "Song Jin Thangka" and Song Jin "Western Elysium World", which have been collected by the Okaya Municipal Silk Museum in Gunma County, Japan, the China Yunjin Museum, the China Silk Archive, the China Silk Museum and the Suzhou Silk Museum. At the same time, he has participated in various intangible cultural heritage exhibitions for many times and has received praise. In particular, Song Jin, the "Western Elysium World" that has been successfully researched and woven for six years, is the pinnacle of Song Brocade weaving skills.
