Twenty-four solar terms - Gu Yu Spring Dawn

The twenty-four solar terms are the wisdom of the ancient Chinese people to ask the heavens.

Astronomy, agriculture, phenology and folklore, spring ploughing, summer cultivation, autumn harvest and winter Tibet, science skillfully combined, and derived a large number of related seasonal cultures.

The harmonious coexistence of man and nature, man and all things, this is Chinese unique aesthetics of time, but also the most simple Chinese romance.

In the "Explanation of the Seventy-two Waiting For the Moon Order", it is said: "In the middle of March, since the rain, the earth has pulsated, and now it is raining in the valley and the water ... Gaigu sows seeds at this time, from top to bottom also. Gu Yu got its name from this.

"Valley rain, valley rain is born." Spring is thicker, the weather is warmer, the rain is significantly increased, and the arrival of the valley rain means that the cold wave weather is basically over, and it is also a good time to start the year of farming. At this moment, the seeds are sown, and then a heavy rain is moistened, and the cereal crops begin to flourish.

Valley rain is divided into three seasons.

Yi Hou Ping was born. After the rains in the valley, the rain gradually increases, and the duckweed in the pond begins to grow.

The second dove whisks its feathers. After the valley rain, the cuckoo began to court, while sorting out its feathers, while "cuckoo cuckoo" barking, it sounds like "sowing the valley", so there is a valley rain season cuckoo reminds people to start sowing.

Sanhou was surrendered to Sang for Dai Ren. At this time, the mulberry tree began to see the Dai Sheng bird, making a crisp chirping sound, reminding the silkworm keepers that the female red thing should also be prepared.

Every year from winter to spring, in the eight seasons and twenty-four seasons from small cold to valley rain, each season has some kind of flower buds blooming, bringing about the wind of flowering news.

Therefore, the flowering in the rainy season of the valley is to enjoy a grand peony. As the saying goes, there are clouds "Gu Yu Three Dynasties Look at Peonies", peony flowers, so called Gu Yu Flowers. Peony is graceful and atmospheric, and the corolla is fragrant. But whenever the flowers bloom, the whole city moves. Woody peony, herbal peony. In the north and south mountains of Lanzhou, there are large peony gardens. The delicate pink flower buds are eager to bloom, and the peony that opens first has already filled the garden. Take a deep breath and enjoy the sweetness of your heart.

In addition, the fermented flowers that "bloomed to the enzyme ether" and the neem flowers written by Wen Tingjun that "should only be spared in spring" are also about with Gu Yu.

The rainy season in the valley is the toon season in the north. For ordinary people and gourmets, Gu Yu is intoxicated by toon. If spring shoots are the prelude to "eating spring", then the fragrant toon buds are the climax of "eating spring". It is often sold at wet markets, small stalls, or you can pick them yourself. "Before the rain toon tender as silk" does not need much, a small handful is enough. Or stir-fried, or accompanied by other seasonal vegetables, I think that scrambled eggs or bacon are the soul mates of toon, and the wonderful and unique taste makes people who love to eat addicted.

The twenty-four solar terms are the wisdom of the ancients to ask the heavens, so there are many "treasures" related to the solar terms in the museum.

"The national color is unique, and the rain in the valley is late in the spring." Since ancient times, peonies have been often used as rich and auspicious ornaments on jade, porcelain, clothing and so on. In the Lanzhou Museum, there are several national treasures related to Gu Yu. Among them, the most classic is the Ming Dynasty Baiyi Temple Pagoda unearthed printed gold silk hand towel (peony pattern).
