Recently, EA's approved developer, Critterion's new game Need for Speed 22, will be released as early as November. It has been reported that the new Need for Speed will be set in fictional Chicago and combine a "realistic" art style with "anime elements."

Elaborating on his design, combining "live-action photos" with the coolest element, "anime," he explains, "When you see a commercial car that can drive like a real car, but at the same time fly up and down with the flame of anime, that seems to be the aesthetic that a lot of trendy teenagers pursue." ”
In addition to the new visual style of Need for Speed 22, Grubb claims that the game's racing experience will take place in a fictional version of Chicago, also known as Lakeside City, and that familiar features will return in the latest Need for Speed 22. These features are said to include Autolog and its multiplayer social tools, as well as the ability to "customize all parts of the car."
Grubb has previously reported that the next Speedcar will abandon the console versions of the PS4 and Xbox One, instead targeting the PS5 and Series X/S, which will be released in November this year.
EA initially confirmed that the Need for Speed 22 game developed to the new standard will be released by the end of 2020 and set its vague release date between April 2021 and the end of March this year, however, the release of this game was delayed by EA.
