Li Dingcheng graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Academy of arts with a bachelor's degree in Chinese painting and graduated from the Chinese Object Painting Advanced Study Class of the academy. He once served as Beijing Rongbaozhai, deputy general manager of Rongbao Art Auction Company, deputy director and secretary general of the Tourism Friendship Center of China Artists Association, director of Shanghai Oriental Art Museum, president of Singapore Dading Art Research Institute and editor-in-chief of various newspapers and periodicals. He is currently a member of the China Artists Association, the deputy director of the Jiangsu Creation Center of the China Artists Association, the president of the Beijing Dongxiao Calligraphy and Painting Institute, the vice president of the magazine (Chinese Painters), the artistic director of (Beijing) Xiaofengtang Culture and Art Group Co., Ltd., the national first-class artist of the Nanjing Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, and a visiting professor of many universities.
