According to the data, 1.22 million vehicles were sold in the first quarter, an increase of 6.8% year-on-year. From January to March, SAIC's own brands, new energy vehicles, and overseas market "new troika" performed well, and the joint venture continued to maintain a stable and good development trend, especially SAIC Volkswagen's sales in the first quarter increased by 33% year-on-year.

In the first quarter of this year, the sales volume of SAIC's own brands increased steadily. Among them, SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Company sold 194,000 units, an increase of 33.7% year-on-year, and the global sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 37,000 units; SAIC Maxus sold 51,000 units, an increase of 11.5% year-on-year.

In terms of overseas markets, in the first quarter, SAIC's overall overseas sales exceeded 172,000 units, an increase of 44.9% year-on-year. SAIC Motor said that it will strive to take the lead in the European market sales to a new level of 100,000 vehicles this year.
