In the past few years when Hongqi became independent of FAW, the models that sold fire have continuously impacted the luxury car market occupied by joint ventures in the past, and even several models such as Hongqi H5, Hongqi HS5, and Hongqi H9 have ranked at the top of their respective market segments. But the 2021 Hongqi H7 2.0T flagship version that is priced at 288,800 yuan to be presented today is not a best-selling car, so is it worth our consideration?
Exterior design
In the front design, the hood and the center of the intake grille are flattened red logo design, and the combination of the double logo is matched with a relatively wide and layered grille hemming, and the visual grade can be raised immediately. At the same time, the bumper adopts a relatively stable lateral crossing design, and the interior will be layered by the body structure and chrome strips, and the overall texture is stable.
In the design of the headlights, the polygonal headlights adopt a special peripheral full enveloping decoration disposal, and the interior adopts a special-shaped layout combination, the C-type daytime running lamp opening faces the outward, and the Y-shaped turn signal layout is on the periphery; and the integrated far and near light is surrounded, and the fog lamp is independently placed at both ends of the bumper, all the above light groups use LED light sources, and the function covers the automatic headlight and headlight turn.
In terms of side design, The Hongqi H7 has a body length and width design of 5095/1875/1485mm, and provides 2970mm of body wheelbase data. In the 17-inch rim, there is a dense multi-spoke spoke style, with chrome strips on the edge of the window and the edge of the door, the side of the Hongqi H7 still looks more business and luxurious.
In terms of tail design, although the Hongqi H7 is biased towards business luxury, it still has a sports ducktail on the tail box cover to improve the aerodynamic structure; in addition to the two exhaust pipes on both sides, the rear bumper also adopts a monolithic sports skid plate with chrome, which can slightly improve the departure passability of this car.
In the tail light design, the tail light is squeezed out of the special-shaped change by the thick horizontal chrome decorative tape, while the contour light and brake light are disposed of in a closed loop, and the center is the turn signal and the rear fog light. Although the taillight style will be slightly old-fashioned, the lighting effect after lighting up is still very good.
Interior design
In terms of cabin design, the multimedia console, including the 8.0-inch touch screen, is embedded in the center of the hard plastic material, and the left side is a combination instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch LCD display. To be precise, the central control is not symmetrical, the instrument and the central control will be surrounded by the same baffle structure, but the rest of the air outlet, control buttons and the internal surface polished wood grain decoration are symmetrical.
In terms of infotainment, the smart interconnection system equipped with the touch screen has a built-in satellite navigation, mobile phone interconnection and voice recognition control system, which can control the air conditioning system in addition to multimedia and navigation, and the adjustment in the driving will be more convenient. At the same time, there are single-disc DVD players in the front row, and the rear row can control multimedia independently, they can get 13 speaker BOSE audio support, but unfortunately the USB interface is only the front row of these 1.
In terms of functional configuration, the auxiliary driving of The Hongqi H7 includes fatigue monitoring, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning and automatic emergency braking system, with reversing image display on the screen, and the steering wheel can open the cruise driving at a fixed speed. The four-spoke steering wheel has a perforated leather wrap, the roof has an electric sunroof, the tailgate is inductive electric, and the whole car can achieve keyless entry. In terms of riding space, in the static test, The Red Flag H7 provides 1 punch of front seat head space for the experiencer (height of 177cm), and the head and leg space of the back seat are 4 fingers, 2 and a half fists +; however, the floor bulge structure in the rear row is still relatively large, which will have a slight impact on the full ride.
In terms of storage space, the trunk depth of the Hongqi H7 is very good, the measurement can be 810mm, and the minimum width is more than 1 meter; although the rear side structure intrusion is relatively large, the adjacent areas such as the wheel arch still provide a large hollow space, which can slightly reduce the impact of the side occupancy on the storage space.
Mechanical structure
In terms of powertrain, Hongqi H7 is equipped with a CA4GC20TD-11 2.0T turbocharged engine independently developed by FAW, which can provide the vehicle with a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum torque of 260N·m, and the transmission is matched with the Aisin 6AT transmission, the comprehensive fuel consumption of the two NEDC is 9.0L/100km, and the 70L fuel tank volume can support a single endurance of about 778km.
On the chassis suspension, the Front-mounted Rear-Drive Layout of the Hongqi H7 can obtain a double wishbone independent suspension on the front axle, and the rear axle is a multi-link independent suspension, and adopts an electro-hydraulic power steering system, although the overall adjustment is biased towards business comfort, but the steering or high-speed driving will also appear more solid.

In the case of providing the first owner's lifetime warranty (unlimited years / unlimited mileage), Hongqi H7 is to save many consumers the worries, this kind of after-sales service with a good reputation is naturally a major selling point of this luxury C-class car.
