Reading Zheng Zhong's new works, the exhibition volume is full of paper and smoke and the breath of smoke is overwhelming, moving. Through the works, I suddenly felt that Zheng Zhong, standing in front of me, was not only a lone traveler on the artistic path, but also a fighter who was not afraid of the difficulty of exploration.
As a good naval diver, in the boundless darkness of the deep sea, in addition to the fear felt by life itself, it is the sense of emptiness that arises on the level of illusion. I thought that these feelings were memories implanted in the depths of Zheng Zhong's consciousness, and accompanied his life path like shadows.
When Zheng Zhong entered the field of ink painting, he also possessed a variety of conditions that other painters did not have: the memory of fear and emptiness given by the darkness of the deep sea, the high-quality brushwork and lines sublimated in the calligraphy boy's skills, the designer's ability to control the image structure, and the printmaker's concept and sense of form.
His ink experiments are not glued to the appearance of nature, but are directly in the realm of Dahua pop, during which the ink color is thick, the smoke clouds are flowing, and the wanton and vast, trance, transforming the picture into a huge dome-like sacred field. It is fascinating to look at, and it is amazing to think.

From 2000 to 2004, he taught at the Printmaking Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts
In 1997, he was grandly promoted by the "Famous Artists of Fine Arts" of the "Art Observation" of the China Academy of Art
In 2002, he was approved by the Nantong Municipal Archives Bureau as the 144th historical and cultural celebrity in the history of Nantong (F144)
He currently lives in Beijing and Nantong
Since 1997, he has held solo exhibitions at the National Art Museum of China, Nicoxian Cultural Center, Helsinki Cultural Center (Chinese Culture Week), Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum, Beijing Kechuang Art Garden, Beijing Hilton Hotel, Long Island Art Museum in New York, and Forest China Art Museum.
His works are collected by the National Art Museum of China, the Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum, and the Guangdong Provincial Art Museum.
