【Gestational Pulse Health】How to calculate the expected date of ivy baby? Calculation methods for different pregnancy methods!

Today to share with you some of the calculation methods of the expected date of delivery in different pregnancy methods, I sincerely hope that everyone can use it as soon as possible!

The expected date of delivery, which is the date on which a pregnant woman expects to give birth. The age of the fetus in the womb is calculated in weeks, and the maturity of the fetus can be judged according to the gestational age.

Because it is difficult for every pregnant mother to accurately judge the time of conception, it is medically stipulated that the expected date is calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period, and the entire gestation period is 280 days, 10 gestation months (each pregnancy month is 28 days or 4 weeks), which is what we usually call "October pregnancy".

  01. Calculation of the expected date of delivery in natural pregnancy

To introduce you to a simple calculation formula:

The month of the last period of menstruation is increased by 9 or minus 3 (3 at 4 o'clock in the month of ≥; 9 at 3 o'clock in the ≤) is the number of months of the expected date of delivery; the number of days plus 7 is the date of the expected date of delivery.

For example, the last menstrual period is February 1, 2021, the month is 2 +9, the date is 1 +7, and the expected date of delivery = November 8, 2021.

Another example: the last menstrual period is June 15, 2021, the month is 6-3, the date is 15 + 7, and the expected date = March 22, 2022.

Gestational week is calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period, and the number of days added up is divided by 7 to determine the gestational week.

  02. Calculation of the expected date of delivery in assisted reproductive technology

Expectant mothers who have successfully conceived through assisted reproductive technology have different "last menstrual" dates and actual last menstrual dates due to the use of deregulation and ovulation-promoting drugs during treatment.

IVF fertile women

(1) If embryos are transferred in the cleft stage, the date of the last menstrual period is 17 days minus the transfer date. For example, the transplant day is June 20, that is, the last menstrual period is June 3.

(2) If the blastocyst is transplanted, the last menstrual period is 19 days minus the transplant day. For example, the transplant day is June 20, that is, the last menstrual period is June 1.

Artificial insemination for pregnant women

The insemination date is reduced by 14 days, which is the date of the last menstrual period. For example, artificial insemination on June 20 is fertile, i.e. her last menstrual date is June 6.

Knowing the date of the last menstrual period, you can calculate the gestational week and due date using the above formula.

03, remember: the expected date of delivery is not an accurate date of delivery

It is important to note that the expected date of delivery is not an exact date of delivery, we can understand it as a time frame.

In fact, it is normal to give birth 3 weeks earlier than the expected date of delivery or delay it within 2 weeks. Clinically speaking, full-term babies refer to gestational age between 37-42 weeks, and about 80%-90% of pregnant mothers give birth during this time period.

If you have symptoms of labor (vaginal bleeding, uterine contractions, lower abdomen fall) before 37 weeks of pregnancy, you should immediately go to the hospital to protect the fetus. After entering 37 weeks, pregnant mothers should be ready for childbirth at any time, but do not be too anxious, go with the flow, if there are still no signs of childbirth at 41 weeks of pregnancy, you can be hospitalized for observation or induce labor at the right time.
