A few days ago, a group of hypothetical drawings of a new Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan/touring sedan were exposed. The new car will move significantly closer to the S-Class in the exterior interior and will also provide plug-in hybrids in addition to the 2.0T and 3.0T. It is reported that the new car is expected to debut in 2023.
The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class will maintain a similar proportion to the current model and feature the latest family-style design. The full LED headlights will be more narrow and long, the middle mesh has not changed much, and the bumper adopts the latest family-style sports design.
At the rear, the new car is expected to feature a similar design to the new S-Class, including a trunk cover with an integrated ducktail spoiler design and lateral LED taillights.
Correspondingly, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Touring will also maintain a similar body contour design to the current model, with a different design style for the front and a more concise vertical grille design inside.
In addition, the new Mercedes E-Class will only be available in sedan and touring sedan versions. The new Mercedes-Benz CLE will indirectly replace the E-Class and C-Class coupe and convertible. In addition, the new car will continue to be available in the AMG series.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class interior
In terms of interior, the new car is likely to inherit the interior design of the S-class, including a 12.3-inch LCD meter and a large OLED touch screen (11.9 - 12.8 inches) that occupies the entire center console, a more sporty and beautiful three-spoke steering wheel, a more exquisite air conditioning outlet, and even a more advanced interior material. In terms of configuration, the new car will offer a full set of ADAS as well as high-tech features such as a sophisticated head-up display and the latest version of the MBUX infotainment system.
In terms of power, the new car will provide three kinds of power, 2.0T, 3.0T and plug-in hybrid, of which the 2.0T four-cylinder engine has a power of 258 Ps, the 3.0T in-line six-cylinder engine has a power of 435Ps, and the specific parameters of the plug-in hybrid are currently unknown.
