Professor Zou Xiaobing most admires the natural situation development behavior intervention (NDBI), the real life is colorful, get up, eat, go shopping, go to the toilet... Each scene is an opportunity for your baby to improve. But most of these families live in small towns, small towns or rural areas, can't find intervention agencies, don't know how to intervene at home, and mothers don't know how to take advantage of these opportunities.

In order to solve this problem, many research and service institutions at home and abroad are exploring.
In November 2021, Hua Youjia, a tenured professor at the University of Virginia in the United States, cooperated with Rice and Xiaomi to launch the "Little Grain Growth Plan", which provided 30 families with free 30 families, including Xiaomao's mother, En'en's mother, and Chenxi's mother, with free 3 months of 1-on-1 home intervention guidance, and supervisors and senior rehabilitation teachers as home coaches for them.
In January this year, it expanded its scale and launched the "Jiaohu Plan", providing parents with 4 1-to-1 guidance at a price of 99 yuan that was destined to lose money, and 898 families across the country joined, they came from Karamay in Xinjiang, Yanchi in Ningxia, Xianghe in Hebei, Minhou in Fujian, and even Kowloon City in Hong Kong... In a total of 30 provinces and municipalities, the average age of children is 4.5 years, the maximum is 8 years and 9 months, and the minimum is 1 year and 4 months.
There are many more families who need help, but the first answer is whether this approach has a tangible effect.

At the beginning of the observation period, the rehabilitator and the parents interacted remotely, recorded the video, and the supervising teacher Professor Hua Youjia and the parents interviewed remotely, analyzing where their practices were good, bad and where they were, and what should be done next.
At the beginning of the contact, the 15-minute video of Chenxi's mother, in Hua Youjia's view, was just a task, and she did not know how to interact with the child, and the results of the intervention had little effect.
Hua Youjia pointed out many problems, such as the goal is not clear, think of a play is a play; the frequency of intervention is too low, two or three times a day to try; the child does not do the right praise, reward; the interaction process of the child does not feel interested; and so on.
Around these problems, Hua Youjia gave a lot of specific suggestions, the most said is to observe more children's interests, and then integrate into the teaching goals.
"I know this," says Morning Dawn's mother. In the past, she would like to teach as soon as she came up, and when the baby was still playing with the toy, she began to give instructions. Different families receive different kinds of advice. In September 2021, scientists at the University of Manchester and the University of Western Australia in the United Kingdom released a report, 104 children around the age of 1 who found abnormalities were divided into two groups, 1 group of routine parenting, and the other group received a 5-month remote tutoring from a therapist, the parents uploaded the video, the therapist analyzed and helped the parents adjust, and by the age of 3, the first group still had 44 children, 9 people diagnosed with autism, 45 children in the treatment group, and 3 people diagnosed. The report validates the effectiveness of home intervention guidance.
What about the Small Grain Plan and the Petite Tiger Plan, designed according to similar principles?
"One of the visible changes is that parents generally change from not knowing how to communicate with their children to being able to create a learning environment and choose activities that their children like to enjoy." Hua Youjia concluded.
Such changes have very intuitive data tracking comparisons.
For example, in the first 15 minutes of interactive video, there are only 3 compliments or rewards for the child, and in the later video, there are as many as 36; when the child does not know how to do it and needs to be demonstrated by the parents personally, in the initial video, 53% of the xi mother is demonstrated, and in the later video, it reaches 100%; in the first 15 minutes, the child responds to the mother 15 times, and the later video reaches 48 times.
These changes are remarkable, and Hua Youjia is confident to help more families.
