UNI-V has launched a total of 4 configuration models, the official price of 108,900-13.19 million yuan. Priced at less than 150,000 yuan, it will compete in the compact sedan market. Many people know that the domestic compact car market competition can be described as fierce, before the more than 100,000 joint venture market is Nissan Xuanyi, Toyota Corolla, Leiling, Volkswagen Langyi, Volkswagen Bora, Volkswagen Sagittarius and other joint venture models of the world, domestic cars can only occupy the market below 100,000. However, with the development of independent brands in recent years, some models have sold well in the range of 100,000-150,000. For example, BYD Qin PLUS, of course, geely Xingrui, which sells more than 10,000 yuan a month, and Trumpchi Shadow Leopard and Lynk & Co 03, which are models with good market performance, can UNI-V rely on product strength to break through in the face of such fierce competition?
In terms of design, UNI-V continues the style of the previous family model, with a borderless grille with a certain degree of recognition, with narrow headlights, and the overall shape is dynamic. It is characteristic that the new car adopts hidden door handles and is equipped with an electric lifting tail wing, which has a stronger sense of movement than Geely Xingrui. However, the appearance design of Xingrui is also good, the youthful shape, coupled with the similar silhouette of the Volvo S60, which greatly increases the appearance of Xingrui, and the back-up style and the large-size wheels + red calipers further highlight the young and dynamic taste of the car. Compared with the two cars, UNI-V, as a latecomer, is indeed more suitable for young consumers in terms of shape design.
Inside the car, UNI-V's interior layout is more sporty and more personal, especially the instrument design, which has a strong fighting style. Geely Xingrui is a more modest style, and the interior novelty is not as high as the newly listed UNI-V. However, the material of Xingrui is very thick, the central control and door trim are heavily wrapped in leather, which is comfortable to the touch, in addition, the 10-speaker BOSE sound system is also its plus, which is rare in the same level. Overall, UNI-V pursues personality and a sense of technology; Xingrui pursues practicality.
Exterior and interior are UNI-V's strengths, but its drawback is the small backroom. As a sports car like MG 6 and GAC Trumpchi Shadow Leopard, Changan UNI-V will be limited to a certain extent because of its sneaky back shape. The Xingrui itself is a lap larger than the UNI-V, so the back space performance is much better.
The power difference between the two vehicles is also very large. Changan UNI-V currently adopts a combination of 1.5T engine and 7-speed wet dual clutch, with a maximum power of 138kW and a maximum torque of 300N·m; while Geely Xingrui is equipped with a 2.0T engine, which also matches the 7-speed wet dual clutch, with a maximum power of 140kW and a maximum torque of 300N·m. Overall, the difference between the power data of the two is not very large, but the displacement of the engine is very different, and the actual power experience is better. As for the configuration, the star rui deluxe version and UNI-V sports version with similar prices are selected, because the star rui is equipped with a 2.0T engine, so the configuration is worse than the UNI-V at the same price. Power and space is the advantage of Xingrui, but the design of young personality and rich configuration is the advantage of UNI-V, the current UNI-V series of models equipped with 1.5T power, the later 2.0T version has been declared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the future 1.5T/2.0T two power choices, the competition will be stronger.
At present, Geely Xingrui, which has the advantage of first mover, has sold more than 10,000 yuan per month and is deeply loved by consumers. At the same time, the popularity of the UNI series has not decreased, of which UNI-T has sold 83,600 units last year, an increase of 21.8% year-on-year; UNI-K has been listed for less than a year, with cumulative sales of 36,500 units. The total sales volume of the two models accounted for one-tenth of the sales of Changan's own brand. The average monthly sales of a single model is about 5,000 units. At present, UNI-V, as the cheapest model of UNI sequence, is to take the route of price for volume, but this is not friendly to its high-end image. Although it is detrimental to the image of the UNI series going to the high-end, it is not difficult for UNI-V to find that UNI-V has many merits in the comparison with Xingrui, and its competitiveness is not inferior to Geely Xingrui, as to whether UNI-V sales can reach the level of Xingrui, we will continue to pay attention to it.
