The new "The Witcher" game is confirmed to be under development! UE5 build, Ciri or protagonist

Today, CDPR officially announced that a new Wizard game title is in development, featuring Unreal Engine 5, and is partnering with the developers of Epic Game.

The official has not announced the subtitle of the new work, and the specific release time has not yet been announced.

In addition, we learned that cdpr and Epic's collaboration refers to the engine development level, not the actual game content. The Witcher's official Twitter also said the new title is not exclusive to Epic.

It is also worth noting that the official main visual map is not Geralt's Wolf School badge, but the Cat School, which is likely to imply that the game will have Ciri as the protagonist.

In the seventh volume of the original novel, Lady in the Lake, Ciri is imprisoned by bounty hunter Leo Bonnet with three Demon Hunter badges on his chest (Wolf, Cat, and Griffin, which Leo Bonnet claims to be from three Demon Hunters he killed). In the end, Leo Bonnett is defeated by the fear-overcoming Ciri, who takes the three Demon Hunter badges and gives the Wolf School to Geralt, the Griffin School to Yennefa, and the Cat School badge to himself.

At the same time, it is interesting that in "The Witcher 3", the shape of Ciri's blood tank is also the cat school badge, and in the game, Ciri has always hung the cat school badge around his waist.

Of course, the above information is only speculation, the official did not officially announce the details of this work, everything is still subject to the information officially released by the subsequent CDPR.
