The hernia surgery is discharged one day later, and the minimally invasive laparoscopy is very successful

Recently, the 45-year-old sun brother who lives in Shaoyang suddenly found that a lump appeared in the right groin area, so he came to the General Surgery Clinic of hunan provincial people's hospital (Hunan Brain Hospital), and after examination and consultation, chief physician Chen Hongwei was diagnosed with oblique hernia on the right abdominal femur and needed surgical treatment. Brother Sun heard that he was going to have surgery, a helpless face, it turned out that his old mother was sick and bedridden and needed to be taken care of, and 20 years ago, his father had a hernia operation in the local hospital and stayed in the hospital for 10 days, he was worried that he would be hospitalized for too long and no one would take care of his mother.

Dr. Chen told the patient: "We can help you with the operation without delaying your care for your mother." It turned out that the General Surgery Department of the Second People's Hospital of Hunan Province carried out minimally invasive surgery, with a short operation time and remarkable efficacy, and it could be cured and discharged from the hospital for one day.

Brother Sun was very happy and lamented that the current surgical skills were superb, and Dr. Chen Hongwei's team made a careful surgical plan in advance and arranged for him to do all the preoperative examinations in the outpatient clinic. The procedure went very smoothly, and the whole procedure took less than 40 minutes. It took the patient only one day to complete the hospitalization and surgery, and was successfully discharged home. Elder Brother Sun is very grateful to Dr. Chen Hongwei's team and laments that surgery can now be so convenient.

The hernia surgery is discharged one day later, and the minimally invasive laparoscopy is very successful

Chief physician Chen Hongwei introduced that laparoscopic hernia repair, minimally invasive damage is small, there is no large incision, and it can be moved to the ground on the day after the operation. Contralateral hernias can be probed to prevent missing hernias, and bilateral problems can be solved at once, eliminating the risk of re-operation. Its advantages are as follows:

1. Low recurrence rate: the recurrence rate of inguinal hernia is about 5/1000 by surgery, while the recurrence rate of hernia in laparoscopic treatment is only about 5/10000. Anatomically, there are 3 areas in the ventral femoral area that are prone to the formation of hernias, called oblique hernia areas, femoral hernia areas, and straight hernia areas. Traditional surgery can only repair 1-2 of these areas, and it is difficult to cover all areas with one operation. Therefore, such a phenomenon often occurs clinically: the patient's first onset is oblique hernia, surgery has been done, and after a period of time, there may be a straight hernia, femoral hernia, and the patient seems to have a mass in the groin, and it is impossible to determine whether it is a recurrence, and the doctor must also be determined through surgery. The use of laparoscopic minimally invasive techniques to treat inguinal hernia, a single operation can repair all three of the above areas, and the probability of re-emergence of masses in the groin is greatly reduced.

2. Bilateral inguinal hernia can be treated at the same time, and contralateral hidden hernia and abdominal cavity can also be explored: traditional surgical repair of bilateral hernias will have two wounds, if only one side of the disease, do not know whether the other side has a hernia, generally will not choose surgery for exploration. Laparoscopic minimally invasive techniques can not only treat bilateral hernias at the same time, but also probe for hidden hernias on the contralateral side while treating one side hernia, and laparoscopy can also probe for other organs in the abdominal cavity, such as appendix, gallbladder, etc., which cannot be done by surgery.

3. Treatment of recurrent hernias is more advantageous: if patients with inguinal hernias are treated with surgery for the first time, some tissues in the groin may appear scarring, resulting in unclear tissue structure. When a hernia recurs, if traditional surgery is used, it is likely that the hernia ring cannot be found, resulting in re-damage to the tissue. But under laparoscopy, the doctor is able to clearly see the hernia ring, which is easier to operate, there is no scar after surgery, and the treatment of recurrent hernia is better.

4. The surgical wound is small, suitable for beauty lovers, obese people and diabetic patients: laparoscopic hernia surgery, the surgical wound is very small, and it is basically healed 1 day after surgery. For adults, there is a large wound with a pen hole under the navel, and the wound in children is smaller, and the scar is not visible on the surface of the basic body after healing.

The hernia surgery is discharged one day later, and the minimally invasive laparoscopy is very successful

In short, laparoscopic hernia repair is a posterior approach surgery, which can maximize the observation of the actual situation of abdominal wall defects, which can be treated for the defect site, and can be used to prevent recurrence or recurrence of the effect, postoperative recovery is better, and also has a cosmetic effect on the abdominal wall.
