On the afternoon of January 27, the new session of the Cancer Prevention and Control Science Popularization Professional Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association was held online by video. Professor Tian Yantao of Cancer Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences was elected as the chairman of the committee. Professor Zhi Xiuyi of the Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Center of Capital Medical University is the former chairman of the committee, and Professor Liu Hong of the Cancer Hospital of Tianjin Medical University is elected as the chairman-elect.
Professor Ren Guosheng of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Professor Zhang Li of the Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Zhang Xiaodong of Peking University Cancer Hospital, Professor Lu Shun of Shanghai Chest Hospital were elected as vice chairmen, and Professor Wang Meng of Cancer Hospital of Tianjin Medical University were elected as standing committee members.
Professor Tian Yantao is the director, chief physician, doctoral supervisor and member of the Academic Committee of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Cancer Hospital. In 2019, he won the 3rd National Famous Doctor Outstanding Style Award.
Professor Tian Yantao has long been engaged in the surgical treatment and clinical research of gastric cancer and pancreatic cancer. He specializes in laparoscopic radical treatment of gastric cancer, gastrointestinal reconstruction, laparoscopic surgery after neoadjuvant chemotherapy for advanced gastric cancer, and laparoscopic pancreatic tail/pancreatic duodenectomy. For the first time at home and abroad, "laparoscopic cutting type gastric total resection" was proposed to treat advanced central gastric cancer, which effectively improved the short-term and long-term efficacy of patients.
He has published more than 100 statistical source papers and SCI papers, and the number of articles published on stomach cancer in China ranked third in the country in 2020. According to CSCO official data, Professor Tian Yantao's team published English articles in 2020 ranked second among gastric cancer surgeons in China. For the first time at home and abroad, a mouse gastrointestinal reflux model was successfully established, the role of trypsin-PAR2 signaling pathway activation in the occurrence of residual gastric cancer was preliminarily elucidated, the mechanism of gastric imprint ring cell carcinoma resistance and accurate molecular typing were studied in depth, and systematic research was carried out in gastric neuroendocrine tumors, which was successfully published in the British Journal of Surgery and other journals. He has won 2 third prizes of the provincial and ministerial science and technology progress award, and the outstanding teacher of Peking Union Medical College in 2021.
Professor Tian Yantao's "Comic Gastric Cancer Prevention and Treatment" edited and published by Professor Tian Yantao won the 2021 China Anti-Cancer Association Science and Technology Award Science Popularization Award, the 2020 Beijing Medical Science and Technology Award Medical Science Popularization Award, the 2019 Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Science and Technology Award Science Popularization Award, and the 10th Healthy China Forum Annual Excellent Science Popularization Works.
