According to foreign media reports, GM applied for this new trademark in Jamaica as early as October 13, 2021, and this time applied for this trademark in the United States. The new trademark in the application state appears in black and white, and it is not known whether the trademark will be colored like the old trademark after its official release.

Foreign media speculated that the first model to apply the trademark is likely to be the Previously exposed Electro Pure Electric Concept Car that will be mass-produced. The Electra pure electric concept was released in 2020 and registered as a model trademark in Canada at the end of 2021. The Electra pure electric concept car is based on the Ultium all-electric platform, equipped with dual motors, four-wheel drive, maximum power up to 435 kW (591 hp), maximum endurance up to 660 km (unpublished test standards). Foreign media expect that the mass-produced version of the Electro will be equipped with the same 100.4kWh (overseas version) battery pack as the Cadillac LYRIQ, and the endurance will reach at least 483km.
