IT House, March 21 news, Display Supply Chain Consultants a new report shows that thanks to the new MacBook Pro equipped with mini-LED display, mini-LED screens led the high-end notebook market with a 54% share in the fourth quarter of 2021. Not only that, but the new MacBook Pro sells more than all OLED laptops combined.
As you can see from the report, in the fourth quarter of 2021, 14.2-inch miniLED led with a 28% share, followed by 26% of 16.2-inch miniLED and a 17% share of 14-inch OLED.
DSCC expects the high-end notebook market to grow 126% year-over-year to 18.5 million units in the first quarter of 2022, with miniLED screens accounting for 50% and OLED accounting for 50%.
IT House learned that Apple analyst Mingji Guo believes that Apple will not launch more mini-LED products in 2021, while Ross Young of DSCC said that Apple will launch a new mini-LED display this year, and the current statements of the two contradict each other.
