According to foreign media sources, Apple has begun to extensively test the new Mac computer equipped with M2 chip
Like the M1 series, the M2 chip is available in several versions, including the M2 Pro, M2 Max, and M2 Ultra
After some permutations, apple reportedly tested at least nine new Macs, which are powered by four M2 processors of different specifications
The new Macs being tested include:
The new MacBook Air with M2 chip has 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU
The new MacBook Air is expected to usher in a historic redesign of the product line, with narrower bezels and the addition of MagSafe charging capabilities
The entry-level MacBook Pro with the M2 chip has the same chip parameters as the new MacBook Air
A 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by M2 Pro and M2 Max chips
A 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips
The new Mac mini with M2 chip is optionally equipped with M2 Pro chip
Powered by the M1 Pro chip, the Mac mini, this processor is the same as the entry-level 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro
There's also an M1 Max version of the Mac mini, but the new Mac Studio makes the M1 Enhanced Mac mini a bit redundant
The new Mac Pro is expected to be equipped with an M1 Ultra upgraded chip, Apple plans to use the M1 Max Duo composed of 2 M1 Max on the Mac Pro and 27-inch iMac, and the M1 Max Quadro composed of 4 M1 Maxes on the high-end model
My goodness. Name this apple is ahead of the times again
Internal testing is a phase of product development, which means that machines may be released in the coming months, but there is no guarantee that all models will eventually be released
Bloomberg has said apple will release two new Macs at this year's WWDC event, which will be seen in June
