When it comes to wrestling games, the most famous is 2K's WWE 2K series. Recently, Skybound Games and Mega Cat Studios unveiled a special wrestling game, Wrestle Quest, which is not an action game, but a turn-based RPG game.
Wrestle Quest is a pixel-style RPG game with beautiful graphics. The two developers working together are not shallow in the industry. Mega Cat Studios produces indie games for some older platforms like FC and MD every year, and skybound Games' parent company is very prominent, participating in the American drama "The Walking Dead", indie game "Before Your Eyes" and so on.
Officials released a promotional video on Wednesday with cartoon characters, exaggerated movements and full of WWE arena fancy. The game follows the development of young wrestler Randy "Muchacho Man" Santos, clearly imitating the real-life experience of legendary wrestler Macho Man Randy Savage. As players become wrestling superstars, they will encounter a variety of original characters, with battles unfolding in a traditional Japanese turn-based manner and unique doubles attacks.
In addition to the original characters, the work also acquired the rights to some famous wrestlers, and has their pixelated versions of the game, such as Andre the Giant, Jake 'the Snake' Roberts, Macho Man Randy Savage, and others.
There is currently no exact release date for the game, and the platforms are PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
