Tesla raised prices for the Model 3 and Model Y last week, the first in 2022 after more than a dozen price movements last year.
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said there will be more changes in the matter if customers think this will be the last price movement in a certain period of time, and he estimates that there may be another change in the next two weeks.
Ives also said on Yahoo Finance Live earlier today that rising inflation and the rapid rise in nickel prices are the main reasons for this price correction: "I think they will announce in the next two weeks that there may be another price increase, and they will pass [inflation] on to consumers."
In addition, the analyst also added that the side effects of this price increase will not have a significant impact on Tesla, because the current user demand for its vehicles has exceeded its supply of about 40%, even if the order reduction is not significant. But just a day before Ives issued his warning, Elon Musk also tweeted that inflation is a risk not only for Tesla, but also for SpaceX.
