36Kr learned that Beijing Gaofu Power Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Gaofu Power") recently completed a round of financing of nearly 100 million yuan, co-invested by Qianhai Ark Fund, led by Zhongyuan Qianhai Fund, and followed by Qilu Qianhai Fund, Smart Interconnection Industry Fund and Huaize Zhongzhao Angel Fund.

In November 2019, "Gaofu Power" completed a multi-million yuan Pre-A round of financing, which was exclusively invested by Zhongguancun Development Qihang Innovation Investment Fund. Both rounds of financing will be used for the development, production and sales of the company's products.

Founded in 2019, "Gaofu Power" is a national high-tech enterprise with suspension bearing technology as the core, research and production and sales of magnetic levitation high-speed motors, magnetic levitation blowers, compressors and energy storage flywheels.

The company's main product direction is maglev motor, and the development of a variety of terminal equipment with maglev motor as the core, including maglev centrifugal blower / air compressor / vacuum pump, maglev energy storage flywheel and other equipment.

The motor is a just-needed product in the industrial field, and data point out that the scale of the global motor industry in 2017 has reached 4.5 trillion yuan. At present, how to reduce the energy consumption and efficiency of the motor is an important development direction of the motor industry.

The "Carbon Peak Action Plan before 2030" released in 2021 also mentioned that it is necessary to "promote the energy conservation and efficiency of key energy-using equipment, focus on motors, fans, pumps, compressors and other equipment, comprehensively improve energy efficiency standards, and accelerate the elimination of backward and inefficient equipment." ”

Conventional motors have a lot of room for energy savings – mechanical friction between the rotor and the bearing can lead to energy losses and the resulting vibrations that can reduce motor life. Compared with traditional motors, the competitive advantage of magnetic levitation motors lies in energy saving, space saving, extended life and so on.

Wei Dazhong, chairman of "Gaofu Power", said to 36Kr that due to the lack of mechanical friction, the ordinary bearing motor has a speed of 3,000-10,000 per minute, while the speed of maglev technology can reach more than 100,000 revolutions per minute, and in terms of motor efficiency, high-power magnetic levitation permanent magnet synchronous motors are more than 30% more energy-saving than traditional asynchronous motors.

In the case of a sewage treatment plant, for example, the treatment process requires the sewage to be filled with enzymes and blower oxidation is carried out by an aeration fan. In general, the electricity cost generated by equipment including blowers accounts for 1/3 of the total operating costs.

According to the actual comparison, equipped with a maglev motor 200kW blower an hour can save 50 kWh of electricity, according to the calculation of eight cents a kilowatt-hour of electricity, a motor in a year of uninterrupted operation can save about 320,000 electricity costs, Wei Dazhong said, basically about a year and a half can recover the cost of equipment. In addition, the ordinary motor life is basically 5 years, while the magnetic levitation motor can reach more than 10 years, and the economic benefits are obvious.

In addition, the traditional motor needs to configure a growth box to speed up, and the magnetic levitation motor reduces the link of the growth box due to the greatly improved motor speed, so it greatly saves the volume of the equipment. In addition, in some scenarios with higher requirements for the environment, such as pharmaceuticals and papermaking, the lubricating oil required for traditional motors will also pollute the production line, and the magnetic levitation motor can avoid pollution.

Advantages of magnetic levitation blowers

The application scenarios of magnetic levitation motors are quite broad. Wei Dazhong told 36Kr that the current product direction of "Gaofu Power" includes aeration fans in the sewage treatment industry, blowers/compressors in the pharmaceutical/metallurgical industry, oxidation fans required for the thermal power industry, refrigeration compressors in the air conditioning industry, gas/pipeline compressors for large petrochemical industry applications, energy storage flywheels for power frequency regulation in the energy storage industry, and so on.

At present, "Gaofu Power" is fully promoting the commercialization of maglev motors in many industries, and the company's maglev motors of various power have landed on the production lines of many large papermaking enterprises in China, and have also reached cooperation with leading enterprises in many industries.

Wei Dazhong said that the goal of "Gaofu Power" at this stage is to achieve a multi-industry layout by building a series of maglev fans, compressors, energy storage flywheels and other production lines, and the long-term goal is to enter the petrochemical and energy industries and break the monopoly of foreign technology by developing large-scale maglev compressors, energy storage flywheels for power frequency regulation and so on.

At present, the company has formed a layout of two bases in the center, in addition to the Beijing R & D center, there are also maglev motor and maglev blower production bases in Shaqu District of Chongqing City and Jinan City.

In terms of the founding team, the company's co-founder Tian Xihui once won the first prize of national technological invention with magnetic bearing control technology, and the company team participated in the drafting of 2021-0068T-JB "Technical Specifications for Magnetic Levitation Three-Phase Permanent Magnet High-speed Synchronous Motor" and other relevant industry standards. The other core members of the team are from the aerospace industry.
