BMW 5 Series, X3 and other models recalled, involving millions of vehicles, there is a risk of engine fire

BMW has launched recalls for six of the brand's models, including 900,000 units in the United States and 100,000 units in Canada and South Korea. The reason for this recall is the possibility of an electrical short circuit in the crankcase forced ventilation (PCV) valve heater, which could overheat and cause a fire under the hood. Models covered are 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, X3, X5 and Z4.
