Readers who carefully understand "Dream of the Red Chamber" know that Mr. Cao Xueqin's recognition of the original "Dream of the Red Chamber" is eighty times. The popular passage is one hundred and twenty times, and the last forty times are continued by Mr. Gao Hu. And literature is a thing that is very subjective. Therefore, even if "Dream of the Red Chamber" is a novel with thousands of miles of grass snake gray lines and many foreshadowings, it is easy to completely restore the original meaning of Mr. Cao Xueqin's original pen after eighty times.
Therefore, Mr. Gao's sequel has also been questioned by many fans and scholars. And as an ordinary fan of "Dream of the Red Chamber", I am naturally not qualified to evaluate Mr. Gao's sequel. Therefore, I prefer to discover what Mr. Cao Xueqin and Mr. Gao Have in common when writing.

Soon after the inspection of the Grand View Garden, Pan You'an's promise of love with SiQi and the correspondence were confiscated, and Siqi had to face the point of being driven away. It just so happened that she met the cowardly Yingchun master again, and she didn't have the slightest chance to stay in the Grand View Garden.
Reading this, I believe that some readers will think that the chess is self-inflicted. First, to make love with his cousin is already corrupting ethics and morality; second, he dared to buy off his mother-in-law who went to the night and have a private meeting in the Grand View Garden, which is also a disregard for the strict class system of Jia Fu; third, he even dared to take the two people's love letters with him, which is even more self-inflicted.
Of course, there will also be some readers who will applaud Siqi for daring to pursue happiness and not hesitate to break through the oppression of feudal etiquette and the constraints of ethics and morality.
Here, I believe that both views are justified and will not be commented upon. But it is undeniable that the story of Siqi is a tragedy after all. In addition to the pitiful abandonment of the master, it is more of a tragic ending to the love between Pan You'an and Siqi.
On the night when they were discovered by the Mandarin Duck, the two people must have taken the oath of the sea oath and made a vow to the death together. But things are not human, and the cocoon of his day has become the butterfly of today, and he does not know where to fly. If abandonment becomes the end of love, then there is no doubt that it is a tragedy. We resent Pan You'an's unkindness, and we pity Siqi's innocence. At this point, the story of Siqi seems to be able to draw a satisfactory end.
However, Mr. Gao Did not end his exploration and description of Siqi. After being driven out, Siqi carried huge reputational pressure and spiritual baggage and lived like a year. She was insulted by her parents and ridiculed by her neighbors. At this time, she had only one belief in living, that is, to wait until Pan You'an's lost return.
One day, this "negative man" will come back. She opened the hidden door, in disbelief, her mind constantly remembering the night when the two of them had sworn a mountain alliance. All she wanted now was for him to give her an answer.
Siqi pleaded with his mother. But in the face of the boy who ruined her daughter's life's reputation, her mother was only angry and dissatisfied. The two never had a chance to talk. In the face of his mother's fierce heart, Siqi, who is loyal to love, chose to throw himself into the wall and die. This moment seems to be the reincarnation of Siqi's life and the end of the story.
However, such a tragedy is far from touching the deepest part of every reader's soul. Subsequently, Pan You'an's approach was even more regrettable. He bought two coffins and explained that he had earned money outside and came back this time to marry Siqi. However, he did not know whether Siqi was a greedy person for money, so he pretended not to speak, just to test. After saying that, he took out a sharp blade between his sleeves and wiped his neck backwards to follow Si Qi.
Reading this, I believe that readers who have some understanding are bound to suffer from the pain of colic from the depths of their souls. What a pair of mandarin ducks! Each is misunderstanding each other. Such an ending will make people feel more sad and painful.
This is the cleverness of Mr. Takahata's writing of the tragic ending of love. He transforms the anger of abandonment into the pity of remorse, further sublimating the reader's understanding of the tragedy of love. At this moment, she had the direction and motivation to "change evil and return to righteousness". She began to abide by her feminine virtues and protect her remaining virginity. She was waiting, waiting for Heaven to give her another chance to harvest love.
The Emperor's heavens paid off. Through Jia Lian's introduction, Liu Xianglian agreed to the marriage with You Sanjie and left a pair of Mandarin duck swords as a promise of love. It seems that a beautiful marriage is about to be completed, but I don't know that a tragedy of love has "appeared on the scene".
Liu Xianglian returned to the capital, and he found Baoyu to explore the details of You Sanjie. After learning about it, he said the classic quote:
"Except for the two stone lions in your east house, I am afraid that even the cats and dogs are not clean." I don't do this leftover king eight. ”
These two sentences have also become a microcosm of the extravagant chaos of Jia Fu. Subsequently, Liu Xianglian went to see Old Lady You, hoping to get rid of this family affair.
This was a great blow to You Sanjie. In order to pursue this love, she has no idea how many sleepless nights there are. She had thought that sweet love had quietly come to her side, but she did not know that she was still a negative person who hated herself as an obscene and shameless person. Wouldn't it be boring if you were self-assured and refused to divorce? Therefore, where to allow Liu Xianglian to say filthy words and humiliate herself:
Hide a female blade behind her elbow, come out and say, "You don't have to go out and discuss it again, and pay back your gift!" With tears pouring down his face, he gave the sword and sheath to Xianglian with his left hand, and his right hand returned to his elbow, only to cross the neck.
A beautiful, loyal life came to an end. Liu Xianglian looked at the third sister lying in a pool of blood, and she was already at a loss, regretting that she should not blindly suspect that she had lost such a strong and virtuous wife.
Of course, the death of the third sister is only part of this love tragedy. Xianglian is the guide of this love tragedy, and at the same time he is also the victim of this love tragedy. After the third sister died because of him, although Xianglian's flesh was there, her heart had already gone with the third sister. Perhaps for the worldly epiphany, monasticism is also a little comfort for this love tragedy.
Through the ending of Mr. Gao's love tragedy for Siqi and Pan You'an, and Mr. Cao Xueqin's ending to the love tragedy of You Sanjie and Liu Xianglian, it is not difficult to see that Mr. Gao Hu has conducted some hard work on Cao Gong's writing style.
This kind of writing method of love tragedy can give the reader a surprise. When we hate Pan You'an's treachery and complain about Liu Xianglian's ignorance, we may have prematurely set the tone for this love tragedy. The two people invariably wrote that in love, it is not the men and women who make mistakes with each other, but the feudal gripper behind the times. This claw pushes two people who pursue love into the abyss. Perhaps, this is the most peak way to write a love tragedy.
From the contrast between these two love tragedies, we can also see the deeper meaning contained in Mr. Cao Xueqin's writing of "Dream of the Red Chamber".
As we all know, "Dream of the Red Chamber" is a novel that praises women and liberates women. In that era, it was not easy for Cao Gong to have this idea that everyone was equal. Daiyu's affection, Baochao's propriety, Tanchun's ability, Fengjie's shrewdness... "Dream of the Red Chamber" speaks for women all the time and is moved by women.
On the contrary, Jia Zhen's fornication, Jia Huan's lust, Jia Lian's arrogance, Jia Rong's greed, and even Xue Pan's stupidity... The men in "Dream of the Red Chamber" seem to be so unbearable.
However, from Pan You'an and Liu Xianglian, we seem to be able to read the responsibilities and responsibilities of male roles from the bottom of society. For Siqi and Pan You'an, Siqi did not know that Pan You'an was going out for their future good life. On the contrary, when Si Qi learned of the news of Pan You'an's going out at the time of the East Window Incident of their private meeting, he was bound to think that Pan You'an had absconded in fear of sin and forgot the oath made by the two of them.
