Zheng Peng, 29, was disabled in both legs due to an accident in 2011, and in 2013, he applied for a sports school for the disabled in Beijing on the recommendation of the Hometown Disabled Persons' Federation and was admitted, and has been exposed to skiing since then.

At the Pyeongchang Winter Paralympic Games four years ago, Zheng Peng finished fourth in the Paralympic cross-country skiing men's 15 km (sitting group). Today, four years later, he has become the "double champion" of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games. In this regard, Zheng Peng said that the biggest reason is that the team is getting stronger and stronger.

"Compared with when we were in Pyeongchang, the level of our team members has improved greatly, there are more teammates participating in the competition, and the atmosphere of mutual learning within the team is good." On the same day, in the women's short distance (sitting) competition of Paralympic cross-country skiing that followed, China's Yang Hongqiong also won her second gold medal in the Winter Paralympic Games, and the Chinese delegation won two gold medals in 20 minutes. Three days ago, she won the gold medal in the women's long distance (sitting) of Paralympic cross-country skiing.

The 32-year-old Yang Hongqiong was originally a wheelchair basketball player, and after cross-country skiing, due to the need to rely on both hands to maintain body balance in sitting cross-country skiing training and competitions, the "veteran" became one of the players with the most wrestling in the team. She persevered and finally bloomed at the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games.
