Bloom in March, listen to female calligraphers tell their "calligraphy dreams"

In ancient times, calligraphy was an important way for literati to live and cultivate their self-cultivation, and due to the limitations of history, women often had few opportunities to ask for poetry and calligraphy. However, with the development of society and the changes of the times, more and more women study calligraphy and emerge in the book world, which has played a positive role in promoting the prosperity and development of the contemporary book world, and has aroused widespread concern in the calligraphy community and society. Under the guidance of their conscious aesthetic consciousness, they have distinct artistic pursuits, showing their unique artistic talents and humanistic accomplishments, making the art of calligraphy more splendid and colorful. On the occasion of the "March 8th" International Women's Day, China Calligraphy Daily specially planned the column "Blooming in March, Listening to Female Calligraphers Tell Their 'Calligraphy Dreams'" to show the talents and interests of female calligraphers for the benefit of readers. Featured writers in this issue: Yin Fenghua, Li Wenxia, Hu Zhaoxia, Xu Yan, Huang Hongqiong, Kan Aiping (in alphabetical order). (Editor)

Zhang Rui's book style is a corner - taking the apocalypse years as an example Wen 丨 Kang Yaoren

A year after returning to Beijing, in the seventh year of the Apocalypse (1627), or because of the political turmoil in the imperial court and the fluctuation of inner emotions, Zhang Ruitu's works this year were not stable, and the signatures changed back and forth, sometimes writing, sometimes cursive. Its calligraphy and writing have re-added Su Shi's morphological structure, but the cursive writing is more arrogant than before, the lines are more old and spicy, and the posture is more indulgent. On closer inspection, the texture of its lines presents a purer "meter upside" element. Perhaps not as quietly as before to copy small characters, this year Zhang Ruitu is keen on the high head axis, and has revealed the beginning of the book style during the Chongzhen years, it can be said that this year is Zhang Ruitu's transition period from "apocalyptic style" to "Chongzhen style".
