4. Run in newspapers and magazines
To engage in creation, to achieve the goal of struggle, to seek bole from a teacher, we must open our chests, and we must not be afraid of being tired and running errands. In the 1970s and 1980s, when I was young and strong, in order to do a good job in the county's news reporting work and my own amateur creation, I ran and visited a large number of newspapers and magazines for two purposes: one was to publish more press releases for the county, and the other was to learn from the teacher in creation. I ran to Jinan the most times, because I was the leader of the reporting team of the county party committee and undertook the task of publicity and reporting. Dazhong Daily is a provincial party committee organ newspaper, the biggest impact after the publication, so every time I go to Jinan, I live in the newspaper guest house, eat the newspaper canteen, live in a special room, and live extremely conveniently. I took a flexible approach, handing over the manuscript to the editors of the newspapers, and while they were reviewing them, I went to the editorial offices of other newspapers and literature.
At that time, because I wrote poetry and prose, I ran the most Shandong literary magazines, and I went to the poetry group very much. In the 1980s, the four editors of the poetry group became my teachers in the interaction, and they chose a lot of manuscripts, and invited me to their house for dinner. I have received a lot of help from them, and the province has engaged in literary awards, and has helped me say good things. Because they often went to Jinan to send manuscripts, the creation opened up the situation, and the Literature and Art Department of the Public Daily, the Supplement of Jinan Daily, and the "Quancheng Magazine" all established friendship relations. They offer to publish manuscripts and works. Shandong Literature and Art Publishing House, for me to be included in the publishing plan, published the first collection of poems "Colorful Wind", I did not invest a penny, but also published a collection of prose poems "Colorful Nostalgia". The large-scale literary and art journal "Liuquan", founded by the publishing house, published many poems reflecting the reform and opening up of the countryside, such as "Calyx Mountain" and "Dusk in the Courtyard" and so on. In those years, the whole city of Jinan city let me run all over, and I have been to some small newspapers and periodicals, such as Shandong Economic News, Shandong Environment Daily, Shandong Overseas Chinese Daily, Shandong Development Daily, Shandong Population Daily, Shandong Workers Daily, etc., all of which have contacted one or two editors and published a large number of articles to the whole county and me, which have played a great role in publicizing Linqu.
My creation, after retiring at the age of 60, continued to work or played a big role. When I was in office, I was busy with work, had very little writing time, and made great efforts to publish 5 small books, but more than 500,000 words; after retirement, I spent a lot of creative time, concentrated on creating for 278 years, and published 20 books, nearly 6 million words. It seems that people can't be idle when they are old, and they must continue to suffer hardships and burdens, write every day, and achieve greater achievements. In the 20 years after leaving the post, because my son worked in Beijing, my wife and I went to live for a while. In the years of idleness, I did not have a day of idleness, I went to visit a number of newspapers and periodicals, asked for advice, People's Daily, China Annual Report, China Flower News, China Green Times, "Old People's World" magazine, I have been.
It is indeed not easy for a retired elderly person to find a way to visit friends on his own in the case of urban transportation. At that time, I did not have a mobile phone, and I carried the phone numbers of my son and daughter-in-law, and once I got lost, I adjusted my direction and contacted me in time. Sometimes looking for most of the day, I can't find the newspaper and periodical I want to go to, and sometimes I can't find the editor I want to meet, and I am very anxious and nervous, and I deeply feel that it is not easy to find someone. Kung Fu pays off, running for several months in Beijing, the harvest is still not small. "People's Daily" has adopted two or three essays, "China Elderly Daily" published more than a dozen experience articles, "China Flower News" used twenty or thirty strange stone flower articles, all the newspapers and periodicals that have been, the editors are quite important, generally use manuscripts, they feel that it is not easy for a rural author to write in Beijing, it is really a bit different.
It is not an easy task to achieve a little success in creation, and I feel that it is right to make some efforts and invest more in mental and physical strength. Enjoying it is just a fantasy, so our friends who have been creating all our lives always have to work hard and contribute more.
Feng Enchang was born in 1937 in Linqu, Shandong. He once served as the deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the county party committee and the chairman of the Literary Association, a member of the Chinese Writers Association, a member of the Chinese Folk Artists Association, a director of the Shandong Prose Literature Association, a standing director of the China Vernacular Poets Association, a famous poet and writer of the National Pastoral School, a representative of the "Rural Small Courtyard School", and was known as the god of Oriental poetry. His works have won many awards at home and abroad, and have won the honorary title of lifetime achievement of the highest award of folk literature in the Asia-Pacific region, "Golden Flying Eagle Award", and have been named the title of world cultural celebrity and national first-class artist, the inheritor of the legend of Feng Weimin, and has published 23 literary monographs, "Sugar Gourd" and "Hometown Cicada Song", which have been selected to read textbooks in full-time middle schools nationwide.
